The information is from an article on Jerry Sloan at ESPN but I thought this was relevant to the Spurs:
Most Consecutive Games Coached With Same Team
Coach Games Team
1. Jerry Sloan 1,613 Jazz
2. Red Auerbach 1,192 Celtics
3. John MacLeod 1,122 Suns
4. Gregg Popovich 953 Spurs
5. Rudy Tomjanovich 900 Rockets
I didn't realize Pop was that far up on the all time list.
It's kind of funny because the impression I think a lot of people have is that coaches don't last long with teams these days, at least not like they did back in the good old days...but based on that list they didn't last that long back then either and if anything it's better now than it used to be.
It's also hard to believe that Pop has really been here that long.
