How many people do it, do any guys give their mgrs gifts?

I think I've only done it once and my mgr was a women. I gave her a gift from my trip to Mexico. Of course I've done the pitch in, but I'm talking straight gift from you to him/her.

I'm thinking of giving my new boss a Bottle of liquor, also one for my former mgr now Director.

Nope, I participate in a white elephant gift exchange at work ($10 max) but that is it...

If the practice in that place is for everyone to chip in and purchase one gift for the boss, then I would not purchase an individual gift from me, as well. If that is not the standard practice, then buy for whomever you want.

Those were just examples from previous jobs.

I work remotely and I'm treated pretty well. I see them about once a month, so not sure if I am or not. Just wondering if anybody buys their bosses gifts.

If your boss had any integrity he/she would not accept anything from subordinates. Save your money for your families and kids.

If you are trying to think of a cheap gift for a guy, check out Captains of Crush grip trainers. They are $20 each. It may sound odd, but guys like stuff like that.

It is addicting to use and after a week they will want to walk around and just try to crush things.

Man gift.

I have over 70 people who report up to me and as the boss I don't want anything gift wise from them. Others would look at it like sucking up and I wouldn't want that.

Merry Christmas :toast
