I heard my first concrete rumblings this week that the Warriors are indeed prepared (yes, so soon) to part with their big free-agent signee, hard as it figures to be to move Corey Maggette in the first season of a five-year, $50 million contract (javascript:newwind('http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime?page=dime-081213-14','111')). Maggette is one of the 90 guys who becomes eligible to be traded Monday. ESPN.com (javascript:newwind('http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime?page=dime-081213-14','111')):lmao:lmao:lmao

Maggette's hamstring

OAKLAND — Corey Maggette said he doesn't know how long he'll be out of the Warriors lineup after the MRI he had Wednesday on his right hamstring revealed a small tear.

The veteran forward has been bothered by his hamstrings off and on this season. He missed four games in early November with a strained left hamstring and has missed Golden State's past three games, including Friday's contest against the Houston Rockets, with what was described as a strained right hamstring.

"There was a like a little strain tear in there, which was what I probably expected, being that this is like the fourth time it's been happening," Maggette said before Friday's game. "I'm just trying to make sure I take precautions. Now I think they want me not to just rest and come back and be out again.

"I was thinking that I was going to probably play (Friday). But since they did a different test (Thursday), they said my hamstring wasn't strong enough to try and go. But I compliment everybody. They're doing a good job of trying to help me out."

Maggette will not travel with the team when it plays at Denver tonight. There's no timetable for his return, as he'll continue to rest until any results from future tests turn up more positive. Right now, he just wants be supportive of his teammates.

"I'm just going to try and be as patient as possible, because I'm a very impatient person," Maggette said. "I just got to humble myself."

if they kept the receipt and had the item in relatively good shape, they might be able to return it to the store for a refund.
