Fallout 3 is great if you liked oblivion. It's very buggy though and it can get annoying.

I had to restart a game in which i invested 50 hours in because a glitch caused my character to stop gaining experience points. The missions are engaging enough to where it wont be a hassle to get back where i was... but it definately was a drag.

I jumped on some Halo 3 and was pretty impressed and sucked into the story. we will see how long it lasts. But I think it was done pretty well for being a series game.

I noticed a lot of you put FallOut 3 on your list... For the last couple of years, I've only really played games that are quick to pick up that don't require too much time (since I don't get to play all that often) such as Madden, NBA 2K, Rockband, GTA IV, etc. My boss gave me Fallout 3 as a gift but it doesn't seem like my type of game... I SUCK at FPS games and because my xbox time is pretty limited, I never really see games all the way through (hence why I play sports games, and rockband - which don't require a whole lot of practice or patience).

I posted the game still sealed in the wrapper from GameStop (who won't accept an exchange without a receipt) in the FS section but for some reason, it was deleted :rolleyes If I were to exchange it, since Street Fighter IV isn't out yet, I'd probably go with GOW2. Any of you willing to trade Fallout 3 for GOW2?

No you won't. Everyone I know who played Assassin's Creed had the same reaction I did -- eventually the pretty wears off and you're left with how boring the game is.

it's holding pretty well... killing people is very satisfying and although the lack of diversity in the investigations is a bit stale already... i still like it a lot.

Well, I always have seasons of NCAA '09, Madden '09, NHL '08 and NBA 2K8 going on-just play them when I get a chance here and there.

Most of my recent time has been devoted to finishing off Far Cry 2, which I thought was a great game and really the first FPS/RPG combo game I've played on the 360 that was effective in blending the two types of games.

But, now that Far Cry is done I've completely jumped into Fallout 3 and have a gut feeling I'll be playing that sucker for a while.

Been playing Midnight Club Los Angeles the last few days. I understand the appeal of the added realism of making a racing game an open world in which you seek out/drive to the races, but who was the fucktard that decided that it would be fun to be so constantly hounded by police that you can't even make it to a race and proceed in the game? I played the story mode for a solid hour this afternoon without making it to a single race because the cops kept pursuing/arresting me while I was driving to a race and I'd end up relocated to the police station. It's a fun game otherwise, but that shit gets tiresome after a while.

I take back what I said about CoD4 ... I played it again yesterday and tinkered with my limited selection of weapons and found it very enjoyable. I must have played for about 4 hours and ranked up to sergeant in that time.

FO3 was decent. I am not into the post-apocalyptic thing, though. I love these things from it: vats, perks, non-leveled battles(What I mean by this is if you are level 1, the PC is level 6, and if you are level 6, they are 11. That's how Oblivion did it), the choice of what you want to do. But I also hated a lot of things like: once you beat the main quest, it's over, the lack of PC's for you to communicate with, and many others I cant seem to name. Plus, mid-evil > post-apocalyptic.

Absolutely agree. I also hated that the level cap was set at 20, which isnt very hard to get to.

I'll put it this way: I preferred the medieval setting more, but I also enjoyed the gameplay in fallout more. The only thing I don't like about it is that I'm holding back. I finished the main quest and 2 guilds in Oblivion and I still have A TON to do. I'm ready to finish the main quest in Fallout, but I can't because I still have a lot to do. I'm assuming the ending makes it impossible to continue, but fuck, I think Fallout would've ultimately been the slightly better game if you could keep playing after the main quest.

When the third DLC scenario for Fallout 3, "Broken Steel," hits Xbox 360 and PC in March, it will replace the game's current ending, which doesn't allow players to keep on exploring the Capitol Wasteland post "end-game." This is something we've known since last November; what we didn't realize is that PS3 players -- already missing out on any DLC action -- will continue to be stuck with the current "brick wall" ending.
