View Full Version : Why did we wave sato?

He looked good in summer league and I have not heard anything good about Brewer. Except he is one of the worst players why was he not waived.

spurs had to make room for both players
brewer will be waived
and who's minutes would sato get?

To have room for the trade. I think we cut Brewer and then resign Sato if he clears the waivers.

Sato had to be waived to make room for both Nazr and Brewer.

Brewer is scheduled (if he hasn't already) to be waived and IIRC, the Spurs said they'd probably pick Sato back up if he cleared waivers.

I think they said that they'd consider picking him back up. They'll probably look at who else is out there too.

They really should pick Sato back up, like MRose said. Brewer is a waste of money. Although, Brewer's FT% would make him a perfect fit with the Spurs.

MRose = your *&% has been been traded = time to change your name! (In all seriousness I will miss Malik too)

I'm sure that the Spurs are going to scour the NBDL, CBA, etc. before picking Sato right back up. It might be better to pick up a guy in another postion other than shooting guard.

Yes. He is playing in the CBA. In the last couple weeks he's had games of 37, 29, 28 points. He's doing well and getting a lot more aggressive on offensive, while playing solid defense.

He was the missing piece everyone needed.

Personally i still can't understand why this team has Sean Marks on the roster. I say cut Marks, IR Rasho "Margo" Nestorovic, bring back Sato and then get Noel Felix. Oh and I forgot that stiff Linton Johnson III. When is he going to play? Season almost over.

He just have to clear waivers, then its a free for all.

How many teams have the 8M in capspace to offer him a deal?

Atl and Charlotte?

Is it a free for all? I thought the worst team in the league gets the first shot at him, and then so on to the best team.

....

Never mind. I re-read that you said, after he clears waivers.

Yeah - and none of the teams with capspace are gonna claim him off waivers, since they arent in contention.

Then we offer him the vet min, and Milwaukee pays the balance of what we dont pay after he clears waivers.

Unless he signs for more than his 8m/year, what he is offered is just less for Milwaukee to pay him. He cant get more if Utah offers him 4m and we offer him 1. Its just a difference that Milwaukee will have to make up.

Supposedly this deal was made with the deal that he would be released and Dallas would have a shot at getting him back - effectively making it Booth for KVH.

Upside > retiree
Heal didn't play in Euroleague last year either.
Hmmm that retiree got to play in the Euroleagues last year(just drop it and take your ass kicking gracefully, we had the lame Euroleague argument before)....but I guess China or Korea or whereever is also >Euroleagues in your fucked up world.

Bottom line is your whole 2 year weak ass anti Heal arguement just got shoved up your ass...and you did it yourself.

You didn't say retiree or upside...you simply said that he wasn't capable of being an NBA player because 29 other teams passed on him.

Using your own stupid logic..Felix is even less of one.

Not only did 29 teams pass on him...every team in Europe passed on him.

Hell the NBL even passed on him....

I've got nothing against Felix...but you are full of shit. Plain and simple.

You didn't say retiree or upside...you simply said that he wasn't capable of being an NBA player because 29 other teams passed on him.I said 29 other teams passed on him BECAUSE he couldn't play in the NBA. I'd say the same was true for Noel for the most part, but by all accounts he's getting better, which is what projects are all about.

Stop right there and take a look at what you just wrote...then apologize.

but by all accounts he's getting better, which is what projects are all about.

Unless they are from the NBL, and then of course they are shit according to you, and not worthy of more than 6 games chance, even when we have no perimeter threat at the PG spot on the bench, even when a guy is trying to adjust back to the NBA after what would be the longest gap between appearances in NBA history...Not worthy of a chance, not even when this guy once smoked the living shit out of the guy who was playing PG for our number 1 competition for the title last season...

Fuck off.

Stop right there and take a look at what you just wrote...then apologize. No need. Upside. You apologize. Every project like Felix can use pt to improve. I didn't like letting Hart go but he wasn't going to get any better without real playing time. Lo and behold, it has happened. The only way you can think your argument comes close to making sense is wanting to take on Heal as a project, which is as ridiculous as any of your arguments, so I won't put that kind of stupidity past you.

Don't have a clue and frankly I wouldn't mind if they are considering Felix. I could see benefits to it and we do need a long freaking three, although I'd prefer one that can be used this season, like right now. But I'm not going apeshit over a guy that can't even get a job in Europe like the rest of you, then again, he's not going to be a potential source of insider information for me :smokin.....
