For once I agree with Snyder, Slingin' Sammy was one of the best.

Rest In Peace, Sam. The football world just got a little sadder.

Maybe the game's first truly great QB....who was also a truly great punter and DB.

Sammy was a great Redskin and an important part of football history. He was also tough. Having to play both offense and defense. As did most players of his era.
