Down 98-80 :(

Nets on fire from behind arc, Kidd missing layups, Dirk missing FT's, Jho being J-Ho.... not a good night.

How badly does it hurt, mavs fans?

Bad enough that you didn't answer with a come back?

Damn, this is serious.

I just want to know what about last year's club led Cuban and Donnie to conclude that PG play was a weakness. Devin has not yet proven he can stay healthy for 70+ games, but how in the fuck did they think that it was a weakness when he was out on the court?

Marion for Shaq I understand on a theoretical basis. Marion was off the reservation and bringing down the chemistry because of his unsatisfaction with his contract, the Suns weren't going to win a title as is, and they were never going to get past San Antonio without some added size and muscle up front. It was a worthy gamble.

Kidd for Harris is so incoherent and dumb, I don't even know where to begin.

You do realize that all the Mav trolls from 2006 are gone. Those of us left stick with our team through thick and thin...you might want to troll a Mavs board with your schtick.

Cuban's bitch ass had better be on the bench with his team. He needs his nose rubbed in it. Good for Devin.

I like it more when cuban was more involved with the mavs, he used to make moves. It's clear that we need to trade j-ho but cuban is being to much of a bitch to make any changes.. its just getting ridiculous now. I bet a 5th grader could put a better team together than this shit we have now.

Mark Cuban's clearly vexed that every 3 the Nets throw up is going in.

I know Devin has went off tonight, but Kidd has had a pretty good game as well. let's not act like swapping Kidd w/ Devin would've made us elite.

I see problems regarding role player production and Josh Howard's lack of game imprint.

It's once bitten, twice shy. Cuban has to know he goofed badly on the Kidd trade. You don't go after somebody just because he's a big name, and Kidd is about as big a name as there is. Now he's probably too afraid to make a move because as trades go, they don't come anymore lopsided or blow up in your face quite like this one did.

Amazing that the guy to dump was Howard. Who would've thought that in February? If we had kept Devin and traded Josh for some low-post help, ah what might've been...

This team hasn't had an architect since Nellie left. That's what the Mavs need more than anybody else. The West was incredibly tough last year and Cuban shat his pants when he realized the Mavs might miss the postseason if they had to wait on Devin getting healthy. You don't trade a 25 yr old PG because you're worried about missing out on that coveted 7 seed.

ouch lol, i wonder what cuban is thinking right now. i dont feel sorry one bit for him either because his dumbass because he still trusts donnie who is obviously the worst gm in the league. He doesnt do shit except says we' have the best mavs team over that fuckin idiot... but i'm not sure about kidd anymore, see how much better nuggets got with billups? if kidd was that good wouldn't of we got better? we clearly are a joke of a team now.

We're a team that beats bad teams and loses to good teams. That's the definition of 45-37 and missing the playoffs in the West.

Too bad they didn't have a larger crowd to join the "thank you, Cuban" chant.

I do feel a little bad for Kidd. He walked to the locker room like a dog with it's tail between it's legs. I think the chants hurt his feelings.

Kidd has been playing well for us, but that's not really the issue. PG was not a weakness for us last year, unless you were convinced Devin couldn't play 70+ games a year.

yep, i say either we make a trades, blow this shit up and clear cap space for 2010 even though that doesn't guarantee that we even get good FA, or we just tank this shit and try to get a high draft pick. Its easy to see that we won't be going anywhere as currently constructed, so no point in wasting time. I've been thinking that we do either 3 since last year but i guess its too hard for donnie and cuban to take their mav goggles off and see what us fans and non-fans see bout the team.

I think they understand the current state of the team, but it's not easy to rectify a huge mistake. Young pgs like Devin aren't exactly a dime a dozen, you can't just go out and get another one with a snap of your fingers. An ounce of prevention (keeping Harris) is worth a pound of cure (finding a young replacement just as good).

Well that is the problem, now we're stuck with kidd and I dont think he's going to be with us for too much longer. Where the hell are we going to get our starting PG of the future? It's not JJB so where would we get one? Draft , FA, or trade...

Kidd will sign with the Lakers or Cavs next summer for the MLE. So, Devin Harris, 2 first-round draft picks and cash for 1.5 seasons of mediocre basketball.

If I were a Spurs fan, I would be jizzing my pants with schadenfreude....

Anyone ever notice how the playing for the Mavs brings some sort of bad karma that makes guys play soft or "pussylike?" I mean we've always been regarded as soft through the years, but even Devin got all tatted up since he left and developed this "I'm fucking taking this shit to the hoop, and you'll have to foul me to stop me" kind of attitude.

Trading Dirk for the expiring contracts/picks/young players options means tanking the next cycle.

For all of you saying that Kidd played a great game, in this great game of his, he still finished with less than what Harris averages. think about that!

He is done. If the Spurs didn't sign him in 03, with a much younger Parker, that should tell you something.

Actually Jason Kidd declined the offer (which BTW was a max or like a 18mill/year deal). I'm pretty sure we'd have lost Parker, Ginobili and we definitely wouldn't have won 2 more championships had we had Kidd on board.

Tim Duncan apparently threw a party at his house as Jason was almost about to sign the contract, but he backed off at the last moment. Now that is good karma and we've had quite a lot of it.

you have to fire cuban--run that fuck-face out of town.

Mavericks--we get rid of great point guards---Kidd, Nash, and Harris. But we make up for it by bringing them back when they're 47.

is this even surprising? SIgns were there well before LAST season. Only company men and blind homers keep buying into the bullshit.

Not even going into Harris for Kidd, but the fact that the mental midget, empty stats JHO is still on the team is almost as fucking bad. I want to stab my eyes out everytime I see him pull up his stepback jumper and ballhog for the first two quarters, then check out like a pussy after halftime.

Only way for Cuban to redeem himself is to swindle another team for Jho.
