No way he coaches a team with a psychotic owner that wants to run everything.

Garrett is the golden boy. He will fuck up the Cowboys for years to come.

Deion Sanders and Keyshawn Johnson were both on record saying that they would not play for Dallas too.

Money does talk but Cowher is going to Cleveland.

There isn't much joy that comes from watching the NFL these days, but that RW trade was a fleecing.

17 catches, 194 yds and 1 TD in 9 games for what looks like a top 20 pick.

But he has really cool first down celebrations.

The one where he was shadow boxing and ended with the first down signal.

Brilliant. Well worth giving up the draft picks.

True but its Detroit so there is no guarantee that the pick will be a good one....then again with Millen gone, there is hope! :toast

Guy just doesn't have what it takes to become an elite player, IMO.

I thought it was very considerate of Roy to slow down and let Ed Reed make that first interception before tackling him.

If the Cowboys have to end the season in humiliating fashion in order to make Wade Phillips go away, I'm happy with that so long as he takes Dave Campo with him.

What the Cowboys need is a #1 receiver that isn't a tight end. There are several #2 guys on the team already. The Cowboys wide receivers go up and get the ball as often as their corners successfully defend passes.

The Cowboys aren't eliminated from the playoffs anyway. If San Diego or Minnesota wins today they're in if they beat Philly. If both of those teams lose then it's all academic, because you'd be rooting for the Rams to beat Atlanta or the Raiders to beat Tampa.

He actually slowed down and watched him catch it. Even the "good" Roy Williams wouldn't have done that.

BTW, the Cowboys still control their own destiny. Thanks Norv!

I've never heard Cowher quoted as saying he requires total control. Its just opinion and nothing more. Many would have said the same thing about the Tuna and had the Tuna been a better coach the team would have performed better. Just like they did immeadiately after his departure.

Wade has officially lost the team. He's a very capable DC but doesn't have the leadership to run the entire ship. They had one good season and they fell apart from a compilation of bad play calling, lack of leadership and team chemistry.

I'm almost convinced that TO does more harm than good but I'll admit that I haven't always felt that way.

I don't know how this team would react to a Cowher/Wade combo but I'd think that a guy like Cowher would want his own people.

I don't see why he wouldn't be coaching a option.

Garrett needs more time. Being predictable and one deminsion isn't something that can't be changed. I don't or haven't felt like he's lost his guys yet.

Give him a break. He has plantar fasciitis. That shit ain't no joke. He'll get healthy, and we'll get some production out of him. I see it in my crystal ball.

You say nothing. Morts went on and on about how he believes Jones, that he has always kept his word to him and never has lied to him. Said he had a 20 minute conversation about it. Also stated it would be stupid to overhaul the coaching staff because of the economy.

He may well be fired but I am just saying the way Mort went on and on made me believe him. Personally I could careless who coaches.

wtf?

I guess that means he would have to pay Wade the rest of his contract plus pay the new coach and if the new coach wants new coaches to, Jones would have to pay the current assistant coaches contracts off plus the new assistant coaches contracts. Plus throw in his new rip off stadium is not selling out Jones can't just spend money for the sake of spending it.

jack sommerset

jones paid for the stadium?

Jerry Jones and Arlington. After they finalized the deal and read the fine print Jones was getting his investment back after a short period, I want to say 5 years and the City of Arlington gets there investment back over a longer period, I want to say 20-30 years. I forget the details.

Here is a link if interested in the new stadium and some cost.
