All the road teams seem poised to win, but Philly has been so inconsistent this season that they may just end up laying an egg - Minny's running game should be just enough

When the Eagles are playing consistent, they look like the best team in the NFC. They could easily make the superbowl.

If I was allowed to make a "stand-by" prediction, this would be my #2 list. The Eagles are the weak link on the "road teams sweep" ticket, in my mind.

I would suggest the San Diego Flamingos. Suitable because the Flamingo is pink, and that's a gay color for a football team (and the Ravens already have purple), but if your team has Avril Lavigne songs played in its arena, suddenly it all makes sense.

Tho for a more regional influence, they could become the Swallows--the ones that return just up the coast every spring--which can lead to all manner of inferences

Maybe you were at the RCA Dome for something other than a Colts game then, because I went to 3 Colts games at the Dome and never heard that garbage played there.

I don't get why people think the Chargers can beat the Colts. Indy has been one of the hottest teams to finish the season and they are flying WAY under the radar. Their run game isn't the best but they do enough to get by. I think they will blow the Chargers out. Easily.

It's really because the Chargers have fooled everyone into thinking they're back to being an elite team when all they really did is blow out two teams that choked their way out of the playoffs (Tampa and Denver). And then there's that whole group of people that think the Chargers have some kind of Colts kryptonite or something when really they've played them at favorable times in the last two seasons. Not saying they can't win, but this game is your classic "stay away game" in gambling.

Just reading the comments pages on tons of sports blogs, the amount of Charger fans that came out of the woodwork after Sunday is fucking phenomenal. And they all think they're going to blow out the Colts the way they did Denver. :lmao
I have respect for the Chargers for playing us well in the last few seasons, but the line for the game is -1.5 Colts and that's probably as fair an assessment as there can be for this game. No way does SD ever have a 20 or 30 point lead on the Colts at any point in this game.

Haven't the Chargers beaten the Colts by double digits in the past? Not by 20 or 30 but they match up well against the Colts and have beaten them on a regular basis.
Both teams are on winning streaks so something's got to give....should be a good matchup. :toast

Because...the Chargers beat the Colts in SD last season and beat them in the playoffs on their turf in the divisional playoffs.
Indy has been hot but the Chargers have also got a little streak going as well...both teams got the mojo working...should be a classic game....I would call it a toss up but I'm leaning towards the Chargers......and I am not a Chargers fan! :hat

People who say things like this are clearly only looking at boxscores and the W-L column. In the Philip Rivers era, the Chargers and Colts have played three times: the two games last year and the one game this year. The final scores have been 23-21 Chargers, 28-24 Chargers, and 23-20 Colts. No team has a decided edge over the other one, and they've both won road games. I'm not giving the Chargers' two wins an asterisk or anything, they were the better team on those days and deserved to win, but those games were very close with the Colts having chances to win it both times. And in the game this year, the Colts had the ball with a chance to win it at the end and they did.
Chargers fans seem to think their team dominates the Colts the way the Belichick/Brady Patriots did, and that's fucking wrong. Just a fun fact, in the Chargers two wins last season, Dwight Freeney left the game played at SD with an injury and did not play during the playoff game. I'm just saying, I like the Colts chances a lot better with corps of healthy pass rushers. If you can't rush the passer then you can't beat San Diego.

I see. True, neither team has dominated the other and my brain cells were foggy as to the scores last year-all I remember is that SD won both matches last year. These teams match up well with each other so it could go either way.
