that if duncan really is a boring player, has made the nba all star team (and even starts) about 10 or 11 times?

i know how a player like yao does it: china is screwing up the ballots.

but duncan, really?
he doesn't have a huge billion-strong country backing him up.

how do y'all explain it, im curious?

It's amazing how far being the best power forward in NBA history will take ya.

I think Duncan's streak is even more impressive because it obviously has to be based on substance.

People may like to watch the flashy stuff, but when it comes down to it, they know who's got the rings.

well, i know he's the best power forward in NBA history, that im not taking away from him - no one can.

but still, it doesn't seem like he has a huge following such as kobe, or lebron who'll make it every year till they retire.

and he definitely doesn't have espn or tnt kissing his heiney.

What? They all love him. I'm not sure what you're talking about. How does the best power forward of all time make the all star team? Uh, because he's good?

Duncan's fans are like him. We're not very vocal but we have some force. :)

Oh, and to answer the question...He's the best. Even a casual fan knows greatness when they see it.

...the nba all star team (and even starts) about 10 or 11 times?

Just to clarify: Assuming the votes continue the way they're going, this will be Duncan's 10th consectutive start, his 11th All-Star Game. He came off the bench in '98. (There was no ASG in '99 because of the lockout).

Which means he is a NBA all star team starter since his sophomore year.

In the Virgin Islands, each vote counts 21 times. It is a national law that all Virgins must vote. Add that vote total to all us Spurs fans and you get Timmy making the All-Star game every year.

Because he's the model of consistency....and has yet to start displaying diminishing skills.

As a Chinese, I think I can answer you for your question.

Actually Duncan has a big amount of fans who are China's people

Don't be doubtful, Im for real. Duncan 's Chinese fans are second to none in China except Yao's
