Tomlinson, Gates questionable
PA SportsTicker
Published: Saturday, January 03, 2009
San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson and tight end Antonio Gates both have been listed as questionable for Saturday's AFC wild card game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Tomlinson suffered a groin injury in the third quarter of last Sunday's 52-21 win over Denver that helped the Chargers (8-8) clinch the AFC West title.
Chargers head coach Norv Turner has indicated that he expects Tomlinson to play against the Colts (12-4). However, the Chargers are not as confident regarding the playing status of Gates, who is battling a high ankle sprain.
It is a familiar situation for the Chargers, who lost to New England in last season's AFC championship game without Tomlinson and Gates.
Gates was out with a toe injury and Tomlinson sat out most of the loss after aggravating a knee injury he suffered against Indianapolis the previous week.

Other sites say he's gonna give it a go, meaning he'll take one handoff and spend the rest of the game sitting on the bench with his helmet on.
Doesn't matter anyways, Sproles > LT

I thought it was kinda odd too. If the Charger are losing, I fully expect him to do what he usually does.
Doesn't matter anyways, Sproles > LT
I'll take Sproles getting the nod over LT. The Colts contained Sproles really well on special teams as well as offense the last time they went to SD.

He has set up his excuse for when they lose.

He has been legitimately hurt all year though.

This Thread is fuckin stupid!!!
The man has a torn & detatched tendon!
If you didn't know a tendon connects muscle to bone!!!
Thats a big deal!

A tendon attaching a groin muscle to the pubic bone?
His wife must be yanking on his junk way too hard.
That must not feel good.

Yeah, its one of three of his adductors!
All I have to say is, if Tomlinson can't play because of injury, that's just part of the game. We had to play the Chargers in the RCA Dome last January without Freeney, Brock and Mathis. That's how it is in the NFL.

Every charger fan in the world has been crying over this premeditated excuse. Cry more faggots, your tears are delicious!

A tendon has popped off connecting his groin muscle?
I'd say thats a pretty legitimate injury.

Oops. 3rd most yardage in WC history and the game winning OT touchdown run. Ouch.

Well, it still was fun getting to watch my team play another game.

I had that same "fun" the last two seasons...
and it wasn't much better than watching them fold like bitches this year.

The Colts did a piss poor job of containing the running game, so no doubt Charger fans are all giddy about the Sproles/LT 1-2 punch. I can't wait for the Steeler D to stuff the SD run next week.

I'm too lazy to look up what his injury was last year but.....
he has a detached tendon! leave teh guy alone. Somehow I really doubt taht LT is afraid to play a playoff game. Wasn't it last year that people were complaing about him not "looking hurt enough" while he was on teh sideline? I love sports and love to criticize as much as the next guy. But at some point it starts to get ridiculous

You have not seen monocunt playing in an NFL game?
Well, even with a detatched tendon in his groin monoc mounts his TomDoll.

LT 123 rushing 67 recieving in 2006s Patsies greaseout over that playoff powerhouse Martyball. Yeah that was really LTs fault.
2007 Rivers is obviously hurt with torn ligaments, (well monocunt would have mounted his Tomdoll with torn ligaments) and just the week before Turner successfully utilized Volek in the 4th qtr to beat Indy at Indy. Once again, hardly LTs fault the Camera Bois were able to hold on and squeak out the win.
Norvron only gave the rock to Sproles for 3 runs and 2 passes. Brilliant!
Beyond that i agree with monocunt about this years playoffs. Norvron Popavich would have in no way, shape or form utilized Sproles to the tune of 328 all purpose yards nor opened up the offense had the boring handoff to LT to get stuffed at the line have been available 23 times vs Indy last Satarday.
