There is nothing wrong with being honest. The Spurs have been winning a lot of close games against mediocre teams. A win is a win, but I am sure they are not thrilled with how they have been playing. Does not mean they suck or that we have bad fans (although we do), but that they still have plenty of work to do, and we could have a few more losses.

We will soon know where we stand with the really tough schedule ahead. They have shown some flashes of being a really scary good team, they just need to maintain their focus.

They get lazy against bad teams all the time. It's happened for several seasons. It's frustrating on some levels, but not any reliable indicator of future performance.

Expecting perfection every game is a nice sign that your team is pretty good, but it's still not realistic.
