Perhaps Philip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin isn't such a bad idea

We've pretty much covered all the casting rumors surrounding Christopher Nolan's follow-up to The Dark Knight, but this CinemaBlend.com photo of Philip Seymour Hoffman as Nolan's Penguin is just too intriguing to ignore. Yes, even CinemaBlend itself recognizes that claims that the photo is from a studio makeup test are almost certainly bunk and that it's probably just a really good Photoshop job. Nevertheless, I kinda dig the crooked eyebrows and cracked-dome, and it has me rethinking my initial aversion to a Penguin in the next movie.
What do you think of the photo? Does it change your mind about a Penguin in Nolan's next picture? Who else could play the Penguin?

"The Dark Knight"

Who felt slighted? The mayor (and town?) of Batman, Turkey

The charge: In a weird twist, the mayor of Batman, a small city in southeastern Turkey, planned to sue Christopher Nolan, the director of " The Dark Knight," and Warner Bros. studios for royalties from the movie.

In a Huffington Post article, the city's mayor "blamed the Batman movie 'for a number of unresolved murders and a high female suicide rate' in his town. He attributed these problems to 'the psychological impact that the film's success has had on the city's inhabitants.' "

Personally, I don't see him as Penguin

they should just hire mike leach. think of how much they could save on makeup.

yeah they do need to stop re hashing everything over again, except taht even though there are other characters to explore Batman does constantly fight the same guys over and over. Whats up with Penguin too? I kinda figured that Two Face would be the premier bad guy in the next one. Dark Knight would have been a million times better if they wouldnt have pursued the Two Face story line so much, I mean set it up a little, but you don't need to delve into it too much.

Southeastern turkey as a whole is probably a giant shithole.

The Sharted guy as Penguin would be fitting for a franchise that had Heath Ledger as Joker.

Um, I hear that Dick Cheney is going to be out of a job in a little over two weeks, he could fit the role quite well. No makeup necessary, and he wouldn't even have to act!
