Good win for the Hornets tonight. This thread isn't trash talking or anything, because this was a game that the Lakers were expected to lose. The Hornets didn't do anything spectacular tonight, they just went out and played their game, nothing more nothing less. When teams play their game, make shots, and take care of the ball, they can win games like this one tonight. Again, no need to trash talk or anything, the Hornets were expected to win this game.

I was very impressed with David West tonight. 40 points and 11 rebounds. Pau Gasol on the other hand only had 10 points and 8 rebounds, but then again its Pau Gasol.

Hornets played as good as they could..They wanted to win this game bad..Pau didnt show up & Odom didnt play the 2nd half so you cant do nothing about that. Laker fans shouldn't be that disappointed since the hornets are one of the top teams in the west.

So, SpursDynasty, your record of picking Laker results this year is 6-26 now, impressive. It will probably end up around 18-64. Thanks for all the help!

No shame in that game. Lakers lost to the #2 team in the West and were playing injured (especially after Odom went out).

No one should take too much away from this game. Hornets won, but no statement was made.

Yeah, no surprise there. This isn't a record-setting or championship-winning Lakers roster.

Lakers will still win the championship but will first beat the Hornets or Spurs in the WCF.

If we have homecourt vs LAL, we'll win the championship. All they did last year was win one more game than we did.

I would disagree that the Lakers were expected to win this game. The Lakers have the Hornets number. I think the Hornets won due to D West having a huge game and CP also playing well from beyond the 3pt line.

On June 17, 2008 in the 2008 NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 131-92 to win the series 4-2 and win a record-setting 17th NBA Championship. The final score was the largest ever in a game clinching win in NBA Finals History and the 2nd largest margin of victory.

It was the 2nd worst loss, yes. Not the worst. And at least the Lakers made it there. You don't get to talk shit, WCF virgin.

That is correct, the margin of victory was only 2nd worst (best?). I guess that the more appropriate statement would be that the Lakers played the worst "D" in NBA finals history?

The Hornets played very well and finally Dwest played like an allstar versus the Lakers. When both Cpaul and Dwest are playing this caliber you won't stop them.

Really, friend...all you do is bait people into argument and then accuse them of being irrational without throwing any statistics into your own argument other than 4-1, or Lakers>>>>Hornets>Spurs. Or you make predictions based on your own Lakers chauvinism. You are on a Spurs board (ultimately). We feel slighted and bitter towards your team. Do you not understand that your chest pounding brand of posting does not inspire intelligent response? You seem smart/apt enough (aside from the whole 'Lakers fan' deal).

Chick-fil-A Bowl (formerly the Peach Bowl)
LSU finished the year 8-5, not bad considering they lost their QB in the spring.
They also lost a couple games on last second plays..but hey...woulda, coulda, shoulda
