I don't know if theres a thread on this but i"ll make my own. I used to like chris paul but hes been acting like a punk for a while now. I know he has confidence & all but he talks way too much & thinks hes above everyone..You cant even breathe on him without getting a call & he jumps into ppl way too much which is an easy way to injure players. When hes pissed he tries to come out with a couple cheap shots which reminds me of a couple celtics players. Duncan should of threw his ass on the floor the last time they played in NO cuz he deserved it :lol

Yeah, I feel the same way. I used to like him, but it was mostly out of respect for his game, from what I read or saw in highlights. But after actually watching him in full games, I realized that he is a total douche. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but he makes Kobe look classy. And I used to LOATHE Kobe. Paul is even worse than the cocky Kobe of a few years ago.

I'm a Wake Forest grad, so obviously I've been a fan of Chris Paul for some time -- until the last two years that is, when the massive sense of entitlement came over him. It's like he became a different person.
I have no idea where he gets off with this attitude, but I agree with Pesky - he's bordering on Bryant arrogant, and that's saying a ton. It's also not a good thing.
That was an embarrassing moment for Paul in the Spurs game when Duncan told him to shut up - as if he were talking to his own child. Paul was fortunate to play at Wake, and it probably only happened because he played in Forsyth County. I'm actually shocked that he has done this well in the NBA.
However, dude needs to take a lesson from Tim Duncan - some humility on the court can go a long way in the hearts of fans.

I think most fans will end up hating this guy once he goes up against their team. I willing to bet money lakerfans will want to choke him if they play the Hornets in the playoffs. He is an asshole plus a coward. I have hated the guy since college add to the fact I went to NC.State and you can see why I think he's a pos. In a nutshell I have hated him since the Julius Hodge nut punch incident. Not only did he give a cheapshot to Hodge but the audacity he had to lie that he never did it when it was on video tape along with falsely accusing our fans of chanting they killed his grandfather made me hate the guy for life.. That action alone showed me that the guy thinks he's above everybody else. He's a great young PG but at the sametime he's a POS coward at heart. He's one of those players I hope never gets the opportunity to win a ring but I hope he suffers the faith of someone like Karl Malone which is he is real close but no cigar at the end.

I still like Chris Paul. Yes, he's a dick on the court and even a douchebag at times, but a lot of that is born out of his competitive nature and hatred to lose. I haven't really witnessed his douchebaggery as a fan of a team playing him and the Hornets in a playoff series, so I guess I don't have that perspective, but I still really appreciate his game. I guess if it gets to be like KG, I would start liking him less the way I have with KG, who I used to be a big fan of but have really abhorred how much of a bitch he's become.

Blame the refs for not making the call, Hell the league is supposed to be cleaning this stuff up. They should watch the tapes and find BS but they don't want to clean it up, just tell you and hiring a guy so they can advertise they are cleaning up bad calls and monitoring refs but it BS.
Paul drives into players enough for theleague to take notice and stop just like LeBron's now infamous "crap" dribble which is the equivilent to traveling but as LeBron says "players today can do stuff they couldn't do in the '60's and 70's.." yeah, they couldn't travel or crab dribble or hop step because they had skills and didnt compensate their lack of skill with changing the rules or wanting the league to dumb the league down to their skilless level.
If you are a great player adjust and improve your game so you dont have to rely on making stupid comments.

No one said he was standing up to him. Everyone said that it looked like he told him to calm the fuck down. That is not threatening, it would seem to me to be the polar opposite of threatening. I think that you should pray he stops the flopping for two reasons. One, if you look at that superior flop in the animated gif above, you see that if he continues to do that he will likely injure himself (karma is a bitch and he does trash talk a lot). Secondly, if he continues his acting and talking, you know KG is going to try to punk his ass since he is substantially shorter than KG, and you know KG has a rep with smaller guys. As to the flopping comment, I dare you to find a clip of manu or tony (who I dont really think has a rep for flopping) that is as egregious an example of flopping as the one above.

Well the guy I quoted did say Duncan was staring at him waiting for him to do something so that he could react, your right I probably went a bit far calling that threatening.
I'm pretty sure I put that I can't stand the flopping and shit talk in CP3's game? I could have swore I typed that.
As for KG he wouldn't do that because CP3 isn't a bench player/scrub. KG only pulls that non-sense with bench players and foreigners (Jose Calderon) :lol
As for Manu or Tony flopping your right that one by CP3 is pretty good and hard to top but it's not for lack of trying:

As for Tony not having a rep as a flopper well:
"DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star EVA LONGORIA PARKER has landed her basketball player husband TONY PARKER in trouble after revealing the sportsman often fakes his on-court injuries.
The actress admits it's tough watching her husband play for the San Antonio Spurs - because she never knows when he's really hurt, and when he's acting.
She says, "Sometimes he acts to get the flagrant foul or, to sell the foul more, he'll throw himself on the floor and really play it up more than what it is."I really don't know what the difference is so I'm like, 'Stop laying on the ground if you're not hurt. Just get up!' He's like, 'Honey, I have to stay on the ground sometimes.' "But I get really nervous, it's nail biting."
Also while looking for those I found some even better ones of Robert Horry and Kurt Thomas hitting the deck without being touched but that's just being crafty veterans :flag:

That's only because people on this board don't know what the fuck they're talking about. AK had a couple high profile flops against Houston last year, one against Golden State the year before and then that one with Dirk (which was 100% retaliation for Dirk purposefully elbowing him in the jaw earlier in the game).
But AK does not flop regularly. At all. It's a rare fucking occurrence for AK to flop. And unfortunately people don 't know that, because instead of regularly watching the Jazz, people just keep re-playing the same 4 youtube videos over and over and over.

SlowChild,
DOH! sorry the "you better pray . . . flopping" comment that I made was actually supposed to be in agreement with the statement you made. I went back and read what I wrote and realized it didnt come out like I had intended. Yeah, Tim Duncan doesn't do threatening, as an example see the ron artest quote about Tim. As far as your videos, the first one is pretty bad, the second one I completely disagree that it is a flop, and the third one, while funny, doesn't really have many flopping incidents in it. On that one it seems that he is falling legitimately on most of the clips and the only thing he does out of the ordinary is put his hands up. As far as Horry, everyone knows that he was one of the all time best, though I am sure Kings fans would have more examples than anyone. As far as Kurt, it would be really difficult for me to see very many people agreeing with you since he bodies up pretty damn hard on D and takes ridiculous hits in the post from the offensive players without so much as moving. The dude is pretty solid.

of those manu vids, only the first is a flop. the 2nd there is no flop as raja bell grabbed his arm when manu jumped and the 3rd is a highlight vid of manu making driving layups and some loser walking into parked vehicles.
for this amazing flopper rep manu has, + 7 years of NBA basketball with deep playoff runs every year, he has all of one flop on video tape.
meanwhile, in three years chris paul has already done things manu never has, like flop in a dead ball situation:

and at least manu exaggerates contact, versus inventing it like chris did here

I don't remember it exactly either and all of the sudden youtube is blocked here at work (the "surf control" was down earlier today which meant YOUTUBE for one an all!!! However someone seems to have found the fix for that)but here is true hoop account of it:
http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-31-43/Watch-Chris-Paul-Fouling-Bruce-Bowen.html
"Here's what I saw: One of the gems of the NBA, young Chris Paul -- tiniest of MVP candidates -- heads to the floor to gather up a loose ball. In the ensuing struggle, all kinds of thing happen. But if I'm not mistaken, the most noteworthy of them was not one but two kicks from the foot of Bowen to the upper torso (getting awfully close to the head) of Paul.
Bowen meanwhile actually had the nerve to try the old "but referee, my hands are straight up in the air, how could I have committed a foul?" routine.
And it worked."

from that angle you can see very clearly that bowen pulled back an inch or two from paul's face, but paul threw his head back and his hands up for dramatic effect.
also, who is in a controlled, normal basketball position- bowen standing on his two feet reaching down for the ball, or paul on his back flailing and flopping like a fish?

Manu flops, there's no question about it. As a matter of fact, most everyone does (including Kobe, Lebron, Pierce, TD, etc). My problem with the CP3 flops is that IF he doesn't get the call, he starts jawing to everybody like a little bitch. Zebras, players, everyone. Most of the other players might say a thing or two to the zebras and move on, but this guy keeps on jawing about it.
Another annoying thing he does is talk shit when he gets called for somebody else's flop. Like last night, when Fisher flopped on him, instead of arguing with the zebras, he went straight to Fish to talk shit to him.
He just has this sense of entitlement that I really don't know where he got from...

I wouldn't call him a major flopper, but he definitely does flop. Just last night when he made those 3 treys in a row, he was twisting legs in mid-air calling for a phantom foul on basically all 3 shots. It's like TD pulling up his arms whenever somebody slaps the ball cleanly from him.

Chris Paul is a complete punk. I put him below even Jason Terry. In Fact, I put Paul in the same class with that POS scumbag, John Stockton.

He suffers from little man's complex which is very annoying. I don't buy into this competitiveness crap people spin to give him a pass. The only way to stop his crazy behavior is for someone to knock the shit out of him. Unfortunately that won't happen in todays NBA it would have happened in the 80's or 90's but not now. I would love to see someone pull a PJ Brown on him. I think that alone would shell shock him.
Perhaps someone should sign Charles Oakley, just for one little game . . .

Does anyone remember that 360 degree flop Chris Paul did in the playoffs last year after a Spur player walked by him? I'm pretty sure it was during a dead ball too. That shit pissed me off.

My hate for Chris Paul has died down a bit to be honest, I still hate him but last season I was just praying for someone to A( Reject the shit out of his stupid floater), B(Tackle his ass) C( Cross him over) or D(Do a combination of all)

Amare is definitely not a bitch on CP3/KG level.
those 2 are on a diferent dimension when it comes to acting like a punkass bitch on the court. good to know it's not only Spur fans who see this
Agreed Amare is a bitch in his own way but he doesn't constantly jaw at the other team and try to undercut players......I've never seen so much negative expression on Duncan's face.
