Joe the Plumber to become war correspondent

TOLEDO, Ohio — Joe The Plumber is putting down his wrenches and picking up a reporter's notebook.

The Ohio man who became a household name during the presidential campaign says he is heading to Israel as a war correspondent for the conservative Web site pjtv.com.

Samuel J. Wurzelbacher (WUR'-zuhl-bah-kur) says he'll spend 10 days covering the fighting.

He tells WNWO-TV in Toledo that he wants to let Israel's "'Average Joes' share their story."

Wurzelbacher gained attention during the final weeks of the campaign when he asked Barack Obama about his tax plan.

He later joined Republican John McCain on the campaign trail. At one stop, he agreed with a McCain supporter who asked if he believed a vote for Obama was a vote for the death of Israel.

Look at Hasselback from the View. She got her start from Survivor. Pamela Anderson was at a football game in Canada and they put her on the jumbo screen at the stadium. Who knows. Maybe the guy can make a living at it.

Oh, Gee!!

Seriously, who cares? The dumbass got a web video correspondence job for some stupid web site. It's not really news, but you guys treat it as news and then complain that it's news. It's the only thing keeping him semi-relevant.

Well, we all have opinions like we all have asses...

Why can't people deal with the fact he has become marketable? Does it matter why? If he can make money off his recent past, shouldn't we be applauding the opportunities of America rather than degrading them, in effect, degrading the American Dream?

I have no problem with it. It's great if he is having fun has found something he enjoys. There is no doubt he is an attention whore though. I defended him early on but you really can't deny it anymore.

Most of the hate he receives is just because he is a conservative. Every time I hear his name, it brings back horrible memories of McCain's pathetic campaign.

I think JTP is the second best thing that has happened to the Democratic party in thirty years. He looks poised to help the Democrats for years to come.
