This from the Cowboys PR staff moments ago...

The Dallas Cowboys announced the release of cornerback Adam Jones today. The transaction will be made official on February 9th which is the first day that NFL clubs are allowed to make waiver requests.
I can't say that I'm totally shocked, considering that Jones was a high-risk acquisition to begin with. But considering that he was serviceable on defense, immaterial on special teams and caused problems off the field with an incident at the Joule Hotel, then you really have to question the legitimacy of keeping him around

Ah well...he didn't pan out. But, the Cowboys get their pick back, plus another if I'm not mistaken. It was worth the risk.

Good luck in Oakland, Adam.

You think Jones would have the BALLS to bring Vick to that mess? I think Jones is a freaken idiot but that would be the act of a retard. I hope Vick and expect Vick to get a oppurtunity to play in the NFL but for the Cowboys to be the one would be football suicide.

Can you imagine the media attention that Vick to Dallas would get? Jerry Jones is probably spitting on his hand and beating the shit out of his cock just thinking about it. Fuck winning, media attention is what JJ is all about. I can see it happening.

Ok, now get rid of Tank "Im a free agent!" Johnson, Campo, Wade, and a few others and bring in some people with balls who live and breathe winning who would turn the culture of that sorry ass team around.

Good riddance, he sucked as a return man and was average as a CB...TO needs to be next if Wade isn't going anywhere...

At least we get the picks back. No harm done.

Also, the retarded ESPN feature talking to people who were at the club and "disgusing them" isn't gonna work. You don't think Pacman doesn't remember who he talked to?

Finally, Ed Werder is still a fucking hack.

not that King needs defending, but his comment was more tongue-in-cheek.

Releasing PacMan is like releasing a turd after three days of constipation. What a freaking relief.

Won't hurt the Cowboys in the least. Jones makes a few Sportscenter plays each year, but the whole Pacman persona has led to him being vastly overrated.

Tony Romo is no leader. There also no doubt the Cowboys are better with Romo. It looks like after 3 season he can't perform well in big games. What are the boys to do? GO back to 5-11 seasons.

Shanahan took over a team with a QB that couldn't win the big game too.

Jay Cutler will win big games once he has a defense.

Sure is hard to from behind in every game, and EVERY series your on the field.

He lead the Broncos to at least 6 come back wins.

Can't wait to see what he'll do later on, hes' only 25.

:( Good ridance pac man, the wannabee thug. Jerry Jones is a media whore and as long as he is at the CON they will never win a championship. Maybe they'll sign the Cowboys for a guest appearance on the Real World.:wakeup

Ah. Gotcha.

The difference between Romo and Elway is that at least Elway went ahead and was crushed when his team lost. Romo at this point doesn't seem to care. It's most likely all an act, but it's not a good impression to give to fans that go to work on Monday feeling sick because the Cowboys shit the bed over the weekend.

Did anyone catch that interview with him on the pregame today? JB was grilling him a little. He also seemed a bit put off by the way he kept referring to him as "man". He's doing himself no favors.
