Potential Surgeon General, Sanjay Gupta, speaks out against marijuana legalization. His arguments are not compelling; marijuana legalization proponents generally do not say that smoking pot is good for otherwise healthy individuals. One must ask themself, why is marijuana illegal?

There are a myriad of reasons, but most notably and importantly, it wins elections. The War on Drugs has won and lost most chairs in government than the Great Depression.

Think about that. Think about the $$$ invloved.

Marijuana will stay illegal in the Federal Governments eyes forever. It has to.

Joking, I'm still okay with Gupta. And I'm resigned to legalization being a futile battle, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be perturbed by arguments opposing it's legality.

Our so-called freedom is reason enough for weed legalization to be a no-brainer, but the fact that it helps keep chemo patients from constant vomitting after a treatment is pretty compelling too.
