The Spurs are at home tonight against a Los Angeles Clippers team that is struggling badly.

This is the Spurs' second game in five days. Then, they're off for two more days before playing at home again Sunday against the Orlando Magic.

In one of many close victories for the Spurs this season, they beat the Clippers 86-83 on Nov. 17 in Los Angeles.

Despite having to squeeze out so many tight wins, the Spurs have gone 14-3 since losing to the Detroit Pistons at the beginning of December. The Spurs are currently on a three-game streak and have won 8 of their last 9.

The Clippers are going through a dreadful stretch. They have lost eight in a row in a skid that started with a 34-point loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, a 22-point loss to the Toronto Raptors and a 22-point loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

What are you, 12? The defence is poor from effort, and they will inevitably pick that up, as they have (a little - if still close in the 4th watch them lock down). Shots aren't falling - they will, they just about always do. It's as if you've never watched us, or any NBA team, play before.

The problem with this game so far is that the Clippers are coming out and acting like they're supposed to win this game, and the Spurs aren't giving them reasons to believe otherwise. If we let them get confident, they will steal a fake win from us just by hitting a bunch of lucky jump shots.

Mike Dunleavy is a joke - the Clip's game plan is laughable. Don't help on drivers to protect the rim. Post-passer's man doubles Duncan every time (which makes it easy for Timmy to pick the Clips' D to pieces with passes - he could have 10+ assists by the end tonight).

I wish Sterling would fire Mike, then the Clips might have a hope.

What you have to realise is that, like it or not, our team (and most very good teams) coast against poor opposition. They do enough to stay in touch, turn it up for a few short spells, and win the game. We've been doing it all season.

Defensively we have about 3 notches of intensity above anything shown today - a great example of that is the final 6 mins against the Heat... it was scrappy all game, the we turned it right up at the end and they couldn't score.

Offensively, it's a little different. Usually it's to do with attacking the rim, playing inside-out which gets you wide open shots. Then you just need those shots to fall.
