After awhile being here, you'll start having small talk with peeps you know about how "its a nice day out there" because its above 20 with no wind.

I don't miss that kind of weather at all but it is nothing when you live up there all the time.

I had a manufacturing client in Wyoming that I'd go see every winter, and the weather would usually be in the single digits or low teens whenever I'd visit them. Whenever we'd go outside I'd be bundled up like an eskimo, and these guys would be wearing windbreakers...no gloves...no hats, and they'd be fine. Like clockwork they'd respond to my shivering frozen corpse with something like "yeah, seems cold, but you shoulda been here last week...THAT was cold."

I hate the cold.

Who needs a refrigerator in MI? Drafty windows and snow in a cooler makes it all through the winter. That's green, baby!

I grew up in New England and dealt with the winters pretty well. I spent years on the West Coast and then found myself back East for 2 years. It was horrible. When you're not used to that kind of cold it's much harder to deal with.

Hope you have a good time in spite of the cold Manny.

Thankfully it's Ann Arbor and not Detroit. I drove into downtown Detroit a few months ago with my dad (who said, "So you've got your semi-automatic and extra ammo in the trunk, right?"), and a lot of it looked pretty depressing.

Astoria Bakery was worth it, though!

I have, this morning actually. Its about 20° today with no wind (for now).

Its gorgeous outside. Quiet, serene. I routinely walk back and forth between plants everyday and today I am without a jacket and its awesome.

You just hate Detroit for no good damn reason. Besides, I dont live in Detroit. No one does anymore, you should know that since you hate it so much.

At 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, the air temperature in Ann Arbor was around 2 degrees, with a wind chill of nearly 15 degrees below zero, according to the National Weather Service. Overnight air temperatures dropped to around 7 below zero in Ann Arbor.

That wasn't the coldest air in the state. Temperatures in the western area of the Upper Peninsula registered at around minus 23 degrees at 1 a.m.

That bad news for those trying to avoid the cold?

It's supposed to get colder.

The National Weather Service says the temperature is supposed to climb only to a high of 10 degrees today. Overnight, air temperatures could get lower than last night, with wind chill values dipping to 20 degrees below zero.

Thursday will be frigid as well, meteorologists with the National Weather Service said, with temperatures not expected to climb above 5 degrees.

Welcome to Ann Arbor Manny!

Get out the shovels - again. Another blast of snow is coming tomorrow.

A low-pressure system headed our way from Canada is forecast to bring 4 to 7 inches of snow to the Ann Arbor area Saturday.

Some snow will fall throughout the day, with the greatest chance of moderate snow falling between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m., said Matt Mosteiko of the National Weather Service in White Lake Township.

Temperatures will drop to 7 below zero to 13 below zero overnight tonight, then rise to 20 degrees Saturday.

There's a chance of snow showers Sunday, when the high temperature is forecast to rise to 22 degrees.

I once flew to Detroit and it was cold and damn foggy. I knew we were landing but couldn't even see the ground until it was like 10 feet from us. That was crazy. I thought we were still pretty high and bam!! there was the ground.

Landing by just using instruments is super crazy. Pilots have huge balls.
