Here is a contest I entered at a FF site I subscribe to. First prize is $15,000. Tell me what you think of my picks, and share your own too.
RULES
There will be no draft. A subscriber simply chooses a team from the pre-determined values. Roster selection can be editted until September 1st at which point it will be frozen. No roster moves are permitted once the contest starts.
Each participant will be able to choose any player from the pulldown lists as long as the team is at or below the cap value of $200. Players not on the pull down lists are not available.
Each team will select a predetermined number of players. These are:
3 QBs
4 RBs
6 WRs
2 TEs
2 PKs
2 Defenses
Each selection has a different cap value, but all teams must remain at or under the $200 cap.
You must select all the positions to be a valid entry. For example: Submitting 4 WRs constitutes an invalid lineup and will be disqualified.
You may not select the same player more than once. For example: Submitting a lineup with two Koren robinson's will be disqualified.
Each week your top QB, top 2 RBs, top 3 WRs, top TE, top PK and top Defense will count towards your weekly total. You do not have to select who will play. You will receive the maximum score based on your roster.
Contest will be Survivor style until we get to 64 teams. By survivor style, we mean that only the high scores for JUST THAT WEEK advance to the next round. Scores reset each week.
At 64 teams, Contest will become head to head (NCAA style) until there is 1 person standing. The 64 teams will be ranked based on total points scored by their starters in weeks 1-10 (Most points = 1 seed, etc)
Each submision is tied in with your login so you can edit and tweak all the way until September 1st. Your last submit will be your final roster.
The weekly cutoffs are as follows:
Week 1 trim to 8000 teams (all advance if we have less entries)
Week 2 trim to 6000 teams
Week 3 trim to 5000 teams
Week 4 trim to 4000 teams
Week 5 trim to 3000 teams
Week 6 trim to 2000 teams

Week 10 trim to 64 teams (Teams seeded by highest points based on performance in weeks 1-10)
Week 11 (H2H) trim to 32 teams
Week 12 (H2H) trim to 16 teams
Week 13 (H2H) trim to 8 teams
