How will the Spurs do against The Next Jordan and the rest? Will Nazr Mohammed play his first game in Sliver and Black?

But the big questions is: Can the Spurs win a game without Malik Rose?

:lol

Hrrrm... TP AND Manu is rough...

don't see that one especially since we have championship chemistry...

If we hadn't already won a championship or gone deep in the playoffs with this core then it would be a lot easier sell.

Seriously, I agree with Ducks, there will never be another MJ

I agree, and MJ turned out NOT to the the next Dr. J, didn't he? ;)

Shit, I'd trade our whole roster not named Tim for Lebron, sign enough Euros/CBA talent to round out to 12, and go for it. LeBron could bring the ball up, and as long as you had a couple of shooters, you'd kick ass.

ducks

bulls started 0-9

so was vc so was grant hill and other players...
good point.
actually lebron is good,
but most of the time, players that got hype never raise to expectations.
only under radar players do perform well. I remember when I saw that Tim duncan kid first game at the Great Alaska Shootout against Alaska-Anchorage,dude had 0 point, and a couple rebounds, wasn't even schedudled to play, he just got lucky for the defection of that other guy, but hell,I never thought he'll be this great, as for Lebron he'll end up like guys such as connie hawkins live by the hype, and die by the hype.

So was grant hill and and VC? They weren't as young as LeBron. Lebron is already a better all around player then both those guys...AND I'll go one better, he is ALREADY a better all around player then Jordan was at the SAME age....

I love Devin to death. He's money on the J, and a pretty damn good defender, but he needs to never handle the ball in the backcourt again. The fuckup last night at the end of the quarter, a gift from the referees tonight on a confusion throwaway with Horry in the backcourt, and he tries to go full court in 3.5 seconds to end the half. JUMP SHOT, Devin. You're never going to get that call.

A rather chilling comment by Bill Land, the PBP announcer before the game. He commented that referee Jack Nies came over and shook Sean's hand, "but didn't shake Tim's". I'd hate to think that he holds a grudge about that GS bullshit last year. Some sort of incidental contact, and he went apeshit and either tossed Tim, or got him susequently suspended?

Tony was again tough as nails. Amazing. I hope he get his Kidd-like triple-double this season.

Amen. He missed by two rebounds tonight, and had another game where he missed by 1 assist and two rebounds. He's HAD 10 rebounds this year, and 8 a handful of times.

No fear. You can't play scared or you make the defense's job too easy. Both Tony and Manu embrace that.

i agree for barry getting the big minutes and brown playing when physic needed on defense or foul trouble.
so we have
TP beno
Manu bowen and barry
duncan rasho and nazr
for our 8 man rotation
and horry and devin in case of sepcific matchup
my only concern is really how well nazr can plug into the system before playoff otherthan that this team looks pretty impressive if Barry get some playing and ball time.

I wish the NBA would do something about Nies. He's OBVIOUSLY been biased against TD and the Spurs ever since that incident. Any game we manage to win with him reffing is a blessing.

Spurs finally win a road game against an EC playoff team.

The spurs are in some sort of slump, i think it's fair to say that we've seen them look better. Though i'd rather have it now than going into the playoffs.

Jack Nies is one of the worst refs in the league from a Spurs standpoint. The benefit of the call goes to the any opponent of the Spurs. Just becuase he's pissed the Tim taught him to get his azz out of the way.

I think the refs seem to hate us anyway because we have a reputation for making games boring and low scoring so they are used to trying to make the game get more exciting.
