It must have become painfully obvious to Mark that the mavs will never win the NBA title as long as anything of the current organization remains. So the best thing might be to minimize his losses and let someone else start with a clean sheet of paper. I doubt that would change the end result but at least the NBA circus would have new clowns in town. :lol

I mean really, if he hadn't bought the Mavs, would anybody even know who he is? Truth is, owning the Mavs makes Mark a celebrity of sorts....and he eats that shit up.

I DO think if the Mavs get tossed in the 1st /2nd round, the Mavs are going to just gut the roster and go for 2010. They're already in a good position for 1 Superstar in 2010 but I think they'll gut enough cap to get 2.

I think the Mavs were the only team to lose money last year, but selling them would have to net Cuban a profit. He'd have to spend the money elsewhere, so it makes sense for him to stick it out. He's where he wants to be.

He might have sold them if he'd bought the Cubbies, but since that's out of the question he'll stick in Dallas. The man has done a lot of good for the franchise - and toned his antics down last year to boot.

In many ways yes but the franchise is not paying back, it seems. Ultimately it is, of course, his own fault. It is like he took a really ugly and stupid girl and tried to make her Miss America with plastic surgery and a few memorized lines from famous books. Didn't work.
