i`m guessing this Optimist person is a columnist for the Cavs...

Dear Optimist,

I don't understand why you pick the Cavaliers to win every game. They are not going to go 82-0. No team ever will. Also, they are not going to sweep the Spurs especially on the Spurs homecourt where they are nearly unbeatable. Your predictions are bogus. My one-year-old cousin could make better predictions than you. I don't mean to be mean, but it's only true. GO CAVS!!

First of all, Greg. The Spurs already smote our beloved Cavaliers on their home floor back in December. So that’s out of the way. Secondly, the Cavaliers dropped San Antonio on the floor of the Gund last year.

And are you saying that the Cavaliers will never go 82-0? That’s absurd! I realize it’s too late for this year, but if Cleveland can get an outside shooter next season, I don’t see any reason why an undefeated campaign is beyond their grasp. :lol Ask your little cousin about it when he turns two. He’ll tell you.

All this fretting about the Spurs is ridiculous. :rolleyes Sure, they still have Tim Duncan, who’s really good at basketball. But they don’t have former Cavalier, Dan Ferry, any longer. So who’s supposed to inbounds the ball after made baskets? Everyone knows Ferry was without peer in that department. Without him, the Cavaliers can go with the full-court press and throw San Antonio completely out of whack. There’s a chink in the armor right off the bat!

Tonight, I see Jeff McInnis staying strong, carrying over a big ballgame from yesterday. Drew Gooden has been a wallflower since the All-Star break. He’ll have his second half coming out party tonight. Zydrunas Ilgauskas doubles-up with 18 points and 16 boards.

Of course, TheBron stays hot. Look for 30+ tonight. As good as he’s been since the break, it’s Clark Kent compared to what he’ll be for the balance of the campaign.

Cleveland wins this one by the hair of their chinny-chin-chin, topping San Antonio in the final 30 seconds on a tip-in by former Spur, Ira Newble. The final score – get your ink pens out – will be Cleveland 95, San Antonio 93.

There you have it, people. The Cavaliers get back on track against the Western Conference heavyweights and are reunited with Big Mo for the rest of the season. For those invertebrates out there who fell off the bandwagon over the last week, maybe we’ll catch you next year. For those of you with the spine to stick it out – starting with tonight’s win – don’t forget to always ….

Keep the faith, Cleveland

LMAO, this guy is good, but he has illustrated to me something with his choosing to respond to this particular mailer, there is always going to be a tremendous amount of home-town opptomism, don't knock it that's just the way it is.
