He didn't travel. But it wouldn't have made a damn difference since he missed the shot anyway.

Ariza travel because he got bumped but it was a good no call considering the mugging Gasol put on TD on his last circus shot. Great win guys, have a good night.

No, but he missed the shot, so the point is moot.

seemed like a very late whistle, after the spurs had rebounded the ball.

He did not travel. But he was not fouled either.

honestly, i have no clue. the live play happened too fast, and I wasnt looking at his feet. i was paying more attention to the play clock. I missed the replay.

im still completely shocked that Kobe passed it with the game on the line. I mean he does that stuff against PHX....but never against us. Against us he throws down daggers.

To the naked eye he traveled. Slow motion showed it was close but he didn't. Still though the Spurs got the rebound which would have been game anyways. No need to argue this point. The question was did he get fouled, which I do believe at any other time in the game it would have been called a travel or a block, maybe both depending on the refs.

Wasn't a travel but players named Trevor Ariza don't get calls at the end of games. He shouldn't have had the ball to begin with.

IMO he didn't travel. The lakers got robbed on that one, but like another poster said in this thread, its pretty much pay back for Duncan's circus shot which should have been an and1.

so did you want to throw your controller through the TV when Kobe passed it to #3? I am sure you were in shock, filled with rage, and filled with disgust the minute the ball left Kobe's hand and landed in Ariza's.

I know if I were a Laker fan, I would have been Irate. Kobe and Fisher are known Spur killers and either should have gotten the last shot.

I wasn't that pissed, but yeah I would have been shocked if he would have made it. It's in January and we have some breathing room, so from the coaching staffs position I can see why they would want other players to take the last shot....... I guess.....

I wasn't referring to the OP but to those Lakers fans arguing about the call... anyway, I think Kobe should've took another three on that play, I mean Ariza FTW?? really?? I guess Kobe got scared when he saw Manu coming at him lol

But well... the game's fucking over already :downspin:

he did travel of course even a blind man could see it. It was definitely not a foul on the Spurs. Duncan got mugged 2 times in a row in his last 2 shots. and you gonna call a foul when Ariza got the ball? GMAFB TRAVEL all the way

NFGIII
01-15-2009, 12:43 AM
No he didn't travel - but people like that don't get those kind of calls at that point in the game - he shouldn't have had the ball in the first place. Poor execution by the Lakers. Kobe should have just taken ot to the rim or something to that effect. Dude just drained a what? 26 - 28 foot 3pt shot to go up 111 - 109.

He da man - go for it.

Looked like it to me...maybe the NBA is serious about calling travels since the whole crab dribble thing.

Just watched the replay on DVR. He didn't travel, but it was an ill-advised shot as he was covered very well, and the Spurs got the rebound to boot. You can't really argue Ariza was fouled because TD, in his previous shot, was downright mugged in comparison.
