It was a legit call. Trevor fucked it up for us. Spurs fans, lakaluva is an insult to Laker fans everywhere, and so are a few other douchemuffin Laker fans on this site. Most of yous are pretty cool to me so good game, your team deserved it more.
Now, let's see if you can do it in the playoffs! Hope to meet you in May.

Every fan base has their trolls. For a large fan base like the Lakers the number will be a bit larger naturally. Lakaluva is still ok most of the time, 21Blessings is as dumb as they come. Don't lose too much sleep over it :toast

I take it that you were trying to rhyme with your thread title, huh? Lets assume that you were, and that I am as dumb as that caveman in your avatar. But then you follow it up with this..."Most of yous are pretty cool to me so good game," then I start to wonder... are you really that caveman in that avatar?
Please dont answer, Im just trying to humor myself...:depressed

Calls go both ways. A lot of Laker fans are screaming all over the net about it. That's to be found everywhere, regardless of the team and in every game. I don't care, I accept what happened.
I only reply to posts when calls favor the Lakers and are passed off as far from the truth. Like when Kobe's elbow fouled Bibby's mouth in the 2002 WCF game 6. Bibby grabbed Bryant first, the elbow was incidental contact and not anywhere near flagrant. A good non-call. Laker haters still want to call that play, game, and series rigged. Sheesh!

It was definitely a foul. But, oh well. I'd rather have it called here then in May.

Says someone with 15000+ posts on a Spurs board, the majority of which slam San Antonio.

But Caveman can tell you himself if he's a Laker fan or not. Just ask him. :lol

Hmm I didn't think it was a travel myself but definitely a no call, so no difference in the end

Rebuttals for the "Ariza drive":
1. There was contact, foul should have been called on Manu.
- See WCF 2008 Game 4 if you want to see contact
2. He didn't travel. It was a bad call.
- Fine he didn't, but he still missed the shot and Spurs clearly controlled the rebound
3. Mason kicked his leg out to initiate the contact.
- See Kobe school for And1

1. There was contact, foul should have been called on Manu.
what?? contact does not = foul. Especially at the end of games. That was minor contact. NOT A FOUL
2. He didn't travel. It was a bad call.
that was very, very close. after watching in slomo, I say not a travel. But he missed the shot so this is irrelevant.
3. Mason kicked his leg out to initiate the contact.
Maybe but that kind of foul will be called all the time early or late in games. Reggie Miller, Kobe are famous at getting this call. Mason just gave Lakers some of their own medicine.

I am not complaining about the outcome of the game. Calls are missed all the time It goes both ways... just as we got the benefit in a more important playoff game last year.
Yes I am a laker fan but regardless, I watched this in slow mo quite a few times and here is my objective view.
1. There was contact, foul should have been called on Manu.
There was definetly contact. He was tripped and it was a foul. However, you rarely get those fouls in the last second of a game. Had it been at say the 5 minute mark I believe it would have been called. I'll touch a little bit more on this in item 3.
2. He didn't travel. It was a bad call.
Yes, it was close but clearly not a travel. He got the shot off just barely prior to his feet comming into contact with the floor. Plain as day to see in slow mo. Those who say he missed the shot so it makes it irrelevant need to watch and also listen to the play again. Who is to say who would have got the rebound had the whistle not blown? It did and all the players stopped. Spurs got the rebound but thats just cause they were there when in position when the whistle blew. There is no saying what would have happend if everyone was crashing the boards. We will never know.
3. Mason kicked his leg out to initiate the contact.
Yes he did. Yes Reggie is known for doing the leg thing but im not sure you are correct with Kobe. Certainly he has got calls that way, but he is not known for that. He gets the majority of his calls on the perimeter with the pump fake and initiating contact. With that said, Masons shot was a great shot. I think a no call here would have been correct for several reasons. 1, Mason was a bit out of control and made the contact that resulted from his leg kick out seem more severe than it was by sprawling to the floor. 2. Fischer was behind him. I can honsetly say after all the thousands of games I have watched, it's EXTREMELY rare for a guy to get a foul from behind on such slight contact initiated by the offensive fall way and leg protrustion. 3. It really was a ticky tack slight brush. If you are going to call such a ticky tack foul like that, then you have to call the more severe contact from Manu on Ariza 5 seconds later. If both were non calls i could live with them.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Game is over, victory goes to the Spurs, and as a Laker fan I simply say, if you don't want a call to change the outcome of a game... don't put yourself into that position where it matters to begin with.
Was a great game to watch from an offensive viewpoint. As for D, neither team played much.

Do you have any freakin' idea of how many times Tim Duncan gets "bumped" in a game and no foul is called? Do you? Almost every single shot. So don't come around here crying about "bumps".

if there was a no call the clock would have just ran out. if there was a foul call they would have taken it out of bounce with .8 seconds left.
