there was no official timeout. vinny was trying to formulate a play while the refs were discussing 2 or 3 FTs for Manu.....so the Spurs players all went over and stood around Vinny. It was a brilliant move by our heady team.

Now this is why the ball should be in Manu's hand during crunch time. TP has been too erratic and for some reason always goes for the long jump shot.

Another observation: when someone inbounds the ball to Duncan, he almost always gives it Manu.:toast

Yep Tim has made a great play numerous times and it's negated cause he can't defend the guy rebounding after he gets the block or stops his own man.

Someone else has to get the board or take his own man out of the play.

It's simple.There's a reason why TD looks worse at defense.He's the only big of the team.Now he is the center when he usually was the power forward.Now he has to take the best player of the frontcourt every play(C or PF) cause Bonner can't guard them.Our defense is worse because TD is out of the paint more time and that happens because usually big man is who plays the pick & roll with the point guard.So teams aren't stupid and they made that play a lot of times to put TD out.Even we are doing the same last 5 years to let TP made an easy layup

Last season Oberto was the one who was guarding the 5's so TD was in the paint.

Can someone believe TD seems to be worse only because he's one year older? Of course age is important but it's not all.He
