I just watched the game. I had to record it because I was at work.

Fucking bullshit. I really wanted Kurt to win this one. I think he was letdown by his team in 2001 especially that Rams defense which was awful. I always said if the Rams had a mediocre defense they would have won that Superbowl easily. Even a defense ranked 20th would have been enough. That Rams D was pretty much dead last in the NFL that season.

Today's game the freaking Cards defense wasn't that great either only for a stretch in the 4th quarter did the actually play well. They let the Steelers get too many big yardage plays. Ben played good and made the winning drive and I'm going to give him props for that last drive, but only that last drive. Kurt I thought had the better overall game. Same as in 2001 I think Kurt outplayed Brady. I will never say Brady outplayed Kurt straight up. Adam Vinatieri was a huge part of that win and should have been the MVP of that superbowl IMO.

Fitzgerald played his heart out even though that Steeler defense was focused on him hard that first half. So many errors by the Cardinals players.

After the Fitz TD late in the game I looked at the clock and noticed that was waay to much time to give Rothlisberger. I was almost hoping Fitz would had ran out of bounds at the 2 or something. The Cardinals "D" did a good job of shutting down the Steelers "O" for 2 1/2 quarters.

Fitzgerald played his freaking ass off in that 4th quarter. You could see he was visibly upset at the start of the 4th and wanted the ball. He was getting very mad that the Cardinals were down and he was not getting the ball. With the game on the line in the 4th quarter Larry wanted the ball and he delivered by making big plays. He should have had the game winning touchdown if it wasn't for the Cardinals defense.

With re Fitz and his play in the fourth - the reason he was finally able to get some space was that the Cards dropped the crap 2/3 WR + TE setup they ran the first three quarters for the usual 4 WR set they ran most of the year. The Cards' TEs are jokes when it comes to receiving (which made Ben Patrick's early TD catch a huge surprise), but all 4 WRs can make plays and forced the defense to try and cover all of them. That combined with Fitz' inherent greatness made all the difference in the fourth quarter.

The Cards cost themselves the game with poor play-calling and that stupid 100-yd return at the end of the first half. No way in hell someone shouldn't have gotten that guy.

It was so close, that I don't think there was conclusive evidence to overturn it. It clearly appeared he had both hands on the ball though. If they had called it an incomplete pass from the get-go, I wouldn't have been so upset, because I can see how it could have been called an incomplete, but the fact that they overturned such a close call was what was ridiculous.

Lets just all come to the overall conclusion that the ref's suck! For this to be the supposed "top notch" officiating crew for the Super Bowl, they sure called a poor game. Why a review of that magnitude takes all of 10 seconds whether it be right or wrong is beyond me. Hell it took the ref's damn near a half and hour to screw the Ravens with that BS Holmes TD that was inconclusive to begin with.
