View Full Version : Will Austin Croshere stay?

Personally, I really doubt it since he only played in trash time against the 76ers and was absolutely warming the bench in the last two games without getting on the court. So itz like four days passed and six to go. We all know that he's not really the answer to spurs. SPurs need someone who can rebound and Croshere might not have too much gas in his tank and can he really shoot the lights out beyond the arc?
These all remain unknown.

For right now he's the best big man we can get, until something else opens I think we should keep him... another 10 day contract is in his future.

can Crochere really help spurs more than what Courtney Sims could???
I mean, I realise Chroshere has experience etc., but at least Sims could probably rebound and block shots, play better D.

I just think that Sims may have been better than this washed up white boy

Don't know & only care for one reason....he's taking up a spot on the roster for a big man.

Tolliver is better than AC. If this is the move for the Spurs, then Tolliver is more worth while to develop.

Hopefully not, I have nothing against him as a player but having a hardtime believing a backup Bonner is going to solve the problem of getting Tim some front court help. I hope someone with size and quickness is available but I'mof the mindset the Spurs are going to give Ian some burn before the season ends so the Ian salvation begins anew. Ian may actually be the only player we can get who's young, has size and quick enough to help on the glass and defensively. So if a deal can't be done, that is about all we CAN hope. Look for Udoka to be shopped along with someone else.

+1 SA can offer him two 10 day contracts. He probably hasn't even had a practice yet. With two 10 day-ers, they get almost 3 weeks to look at him.

Croshere got me pretty damn drunk one night. A friend of mine is a Pacers fan and whent he Pacers were playing the Lakers (i think it was the finals, its kinda fuzzy) he went off and I declared that every time the white guy scored, I would take a shot. I don't remember what happened after that.

One wonders what the Real Big Shot Rob is thinking and if he is in decent shape? :downspin:

He's probably a nice guy, but we should look elsewhere.

I wouldn't count out Crosher just yet. I think pop could get this guy into playing Spurs ball. After all, he wound up doing slightly good with the Warriors last season, right? When I say slightly good I mean he kept up with them.

i doubt they will keep him for the rest of the season and if they do it will be for insurance in the playoffs. he hustles and grabs rebounds, and will score a point or two somewhere in there. if no one else comes up i expect them to sign him to another 10 day contract.

He has no chance, cuz he goes for dunks, and Pop hates those blasted things!!!:downspin:

I think he's a keeper. Once he gets used to the defensive rotations, he'll be a useful 12th man.

Sims has more upside, but I get the impression that he plays D League D.

Like I said when we brought him in. I think he could have helped this team. But its kinda late imo. Had he been around since day 1, maybe he would be playing right now instead of Matt. But for him to crack into the lineup now imo will be difficult. Only because of whos coaching our team. If Ian were still playing in Austin Id have to say he's still our number 1 chance of a center. But the guy is always hurt, so I wouldnt expect much from him this season. Like Pop has said, I dont think of Ian at all right now.

He looks like the Spurs' best rebounder other than Duncan (and he's a proven Laker killer).

Hopefully he'll get some meaningful minutes soon and he'll stick.
