Gordon Gund's last game as owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers had a familiar ending: a buzzer-beating shot by a star player, a stunned crowd and a loss.
When TD made a wide-open 19-foot jumper just before the final buzzer sounded, giving our Spurs a 94-92 victory last night over the Cavs, Gund suffered once again. I think the Cavs had hoped to send Gund off as a winner, but he had to experience de je vu all over again.
Who remembers Jordan's jumper over Craig Ehlo in the E C playoffs for the buzzer beating winner?
Poor Gund, now he has two nightmares...... a vicious cycle.
