I hear this commercial every single day on the ticket from Walter and it makes me hungry and want to try it out. Have any of you all been there? Is it really good?

two summers ago, it was Grant Street Pizza that they would advertise for and since it wasn't too far from where I live, I gave it a try and thought it was pretty damn good. I have confidence in Walter that Goombas is just as good...maybe even better.

Grant St is apparently pretty good.

Main Street is good.

Carmens on West Ave is good.

Third Coast Pizza is good as well.

I can never remember the place on DeZaVala past the Wal Mart in the mini mall, but that places is REALLY good.

And, Paul's Pizza Roma is good too.

Never tried Goombas.

i think blanco tvrn would have the pizza from goombas on football sundays sometimes, and it seemed fine....of course, when your downing beers, any kind of food is gonna be good...but it's not like i'm picky anyway...

you want good pizza? i like heb purple box, deep dish, 4 cheese. yum. $4.99.

Dude, Carmens Pizza is cheaper than that!

Tuesdays, medium 1 toppings are 2.99. And everyother day, they have a carryout special. Order a pizza, and as long as you pick it up you can get a second one for free.

Jess and I love that place, and we eat for so damn cheap. Poor students learn how to eat cheaply.

Are you sure it isn't Digornio's?

Radio advertising is a fake.

If you pay the money, they will get the DJ to come to your business for a quick meeting to learn about you and then they will talk your ass up all over the place...... as long as you got cash.

Remember Body Solutions?

Carmens is on West about 1-2 miles inside the loop on the Northside of West. It's next to a tamales place in a small strip center.

I've eaten Goomba's pizza several times and I think it's great! We tried it because we heard the ads on WOAI - but I must say, the pizza lived up to the hype. The owner is very nice and usually will come out and talk with the customers. BTW, the owner is an Italian from New York - so it is a family recipe and it's good!

Agree on Main St.

Pooh--I make homade a lot. There's a great recipe on Wolfgang Puck's website. I even make the whole wheat recipe which is excellent also.

Did Main St change their name or move? Now it is called something else. I worked across the way on First Park Ten and went there on a regular basis. It was unbelievable! Very fresh.

I think Manny said the one that was by Crossroads Mall did. I'm pretty sure the one ON Main Street is still there.

The one on Main is still Main Street. The one by Crossroads is now Third Coast Pizza. Theyboth offer basicaly the same menu, and both are really good, and REALLY cheap.
