I know there's a separate thread about mike taylor's annoying ass and his homerness to the cowboys but this is just ridiculous! Everyday I turn it off because that seems to be all that's talked about. Their seasons long over with so get over it already! Even 1250 still bitches about too. Good Grief!

It's America's Team. You're going to hear about them whether they have a great season or a horrible season. Live with it.

Understand one thing about Jerry Jones and the Cowboys, it doesn't matter whether it's the offseason or not. They love to keep themselves in the news by hatching all the hype, the drama and the hairbrained schemes. Jones loves the spotlight and seeks out his share of media attention - even in the offseason. It's annoying as hell, but it makes for great theater. Hell, the local Dallas media is housed at Valley Ranch. So if a mouse farts in the building, there will be a reporter on top of the story.

Originally a self proclaimed America's team, but now they do represent what America wants to see - drama. Drama catches the attention of the bandwagon fan much more than substance - that's the achilles heel of the Spurs in trying to be marketable. Our drama is weak. Personally, I like the drama of an underdawg from a small market winning with ordinary players but that's not considered real drama to the bandwagon fan.

Incorrect.
NFL Films dubbed them America's Team as the title of the team's 1978 season highlight video, the one they make for every team. They didn't come up with it but Tex Schramm ran with it and now Jerry does too.
Landry was not a fan of that name and there are a few of us that agree with the coach.
I am as big of a Cowboys fan as there is but Hector is right, their season is over, it should be all about the Spurs. I am not in SA anymore but I have caught this Taylor guy over the internet and he sucks. It's almost like he hates being in SA and is trying to make as many people there miserable because of it. You need to cater to your audience and while SA does have a huge Cowboys fanbase, unless they do something significant, don't talk about them until the draft, then until training camp.

Not interested unless they will take Vaughn in trade.

I could understand the Hype and also would understand if the local team was not any good, but the Cowboys have not won a playoff in 10 yrs, and fail miserably to make the playoffs this year. The Spurs won it all 2 yrs. ago and went to the finals last year. One thing leads to another, next thing you know Mike Taylor will push for everyone in San Antonio to pull for the Mavs. But I do give them credit, last Monday they did spend 20 minutes talking about the Spurs out of the 3 hours STSA is on. I lived in Dallas for 8 years because of me going to UTA, now I am back in San Antonio which is my home town, and you can bet that if I missed Dallas that much I would move my ass over there.

Couldn't agree more. Winning should be a prerequisite for all these circus-related activities. Which goes to show the world how clueless Jerry Jones is. He actually believe the Cowboys are relevant to the world regardless of won-loss record. In trying to keep his franchise relevant, you can now understand how desparate and delusional this guy really is.

It's a funny thing. I think it's because Cowboy fans show 10X more passion than Spurs fans.
Spurs don't evoke emotion. And it's sad. Spurs win the way you are supposed to win, so nothing sexy about it.
Why do you think the news leads with crashes and murders? It's more interesting than good stories

And he has to be related to Mark Cuban. Both owners have so many suckers in their wallets up in Big D. Its unfortunate that Dallas Sport Fans have forgotten what Champions are made of. Which reminds me, where am I?

Ticket Homer! Peter I like you and Andy's show but Taylor's show blows and now they are just playing with the audience (the few left) by mentioning the fact that they do cowboys talk the whole time. BTW you need to bring that sound bite for Andy that Bruno used to use for Siciliano, I think it was "thank you mister know it all".....:bking

I think they were talking about a new Cowboys related reality show for the Spring yesterday that is being put together by Playmaker productions where they have 12 guys go at if for a chance to go to the Cowboys training camp here in San Antonio (talk about a rip off of the WWE reality show), so I do not foresee the Cowboys talk going away soon. And you know that will take precedence if the Spurs win the championship. I am getting ready to burn a shit load of music CD's so that I can listen to on my way home instead of listening to the radio because I refuse to do myself in while riding the car listening to that nonsense.

The Cowboy's were considered America's team because of navy man Staubach and olympian Hayes. Those days my friend are long over. There's question that most Texans don't care them either. I think they belong to Arkansas now.

So you'd rather hug Taylor's nuts? Like that is an improvement?
This again?
Funny how some of the same people bitching about the radio time the Cowboys get, start a thread in the Spurs forum about the Cowboys.
