I want the Spurs win the championship more than anything but suprisingly the feeling of wanting to see KG fail&cry is almost just as strong!
So if the Spurs dont get to the finals this years please destroy the green punks.

I feel the same, so if our beloved Mavs are unable to win it all (lol), I'm rooting very hard for the Cavaliers. Can't stand the Fake 3 getting another ring and same w/ KoME.

On the other hand, I want Ray Allen to end his career with as many rings as Duncan and Shaq.

Seeing Garnett getting another one would be painful. If the Spurs can't make it, I'll root for the Cavs and Magic. I wouldn't care if the Lakers win it all but it would hurt my eyes to see Vujacic and Bynum get a ring.

Hm... you made me rethink my case.
But still KG punkness >>>>>>>> bynum +vujacic punkness
And Vujacic is 2nd in my book of hated players behind KG...

you won't hear that KG argument from anybody..I didn't hear anything after the first title, probably because Pierce won finals MVP and was the main guy during that series..it wouldn't be any different this time around..
KG is one of my favorite players though, so I don't mind seeing him win..
I don't like the Celtics in general, but I'd rather see anybody win a title than the Lakers..they're just a disgusting franchise full of classless players and coaches..I really don't wanna see little kids looking up to a finals MVP that rapes innocent women and talks to cops about a teammate for no reason..

If we get another Lakers/Celtics finals I will do what I did last year and pray that the Finals will be canceled after both teams can't field five players due to months of team wide explosive diarrhea that comes around whenever they step foot in an arena.
Actually if it comes to that I'll step up the efforts and pray to any deity that will listen. Should that fail I will take one for the team and sell my soul to prevent three straight years of Lakers/Celtics.

IMO it's going to be Lakers vs. Cavaliers
Cavs in 6. But not a domination by any means. Lots of very close games, maybe one game where a team wins convincingly (probably the Lakers cuz they will have at least one game where they just cant miss for shit).

I agree that it was pretty close. Other than that final game, the Lakers had their chances in the other 3 losses.
I think that losing Posey and PJ Brown will make a HUGE difference for the playoffs. I honestly don't see them getting past the Cavs, and possibly even the Magic or Hawks. I'm a little skeptical about the last two just cuz they are young teams with less experience, but they are certainly capable of beating the Celtics. But I think the Cavs will most certainly beat the Celtics.

saying the Lakers and Celtics was close, is like saying the Spurs and Lakers was close..it wasn't..if the Spurs don't blow a 20-point lead in the 1st game, and Barry makes the 3-point shot, it's a different series..right?..
no..all that matters is that the Lakers beat us 4-1, and the Celtics dominated the Lakers..

The Lakers weren't that undersized even without Bynum. They actually had size advantages at three of the positions. The bulk of Kendrick Perkins was the only real size mismatch. The rest of it was about toughness or lack of toughness. The Lakers added size with Bynum. They have yet to add toughness outside of Kobe and Fisher.

Really? Celtics can still kick that ass if they played in the playoffs, I hate the Celtics but even I must admit that when it comes to locking players down they can do it, if the Celtics play the Lakers tough the Lakers will crumble. The point Im trying to prove has already been proven last year in the finals, and yes toughness does matter in the Nba finals. If one team plays tougher than the other in the finals it can turn the other team into jumpshooters which is exactly what The Celts did and would do to them if they play again in the finals.

Celtics only beat the lakers due to lakers having no interior defensive presents and no rebounding inside. They also had no good permeter defender like Ariza who can also score off the bench.
had nothing to do with lack of toughness.
with Bynum playing like he is and Ariza back 100% heathly the lakers will not lose to the celtics who are worse than last year. Having Posey and Brown was also a big reason why they won...they are now gone
don't buy at all Boston will be able to beat L.A.
boston will be lucky to get to the finals this year

Really? Resorting to jumpshooting is not lack of toughness?! Pau Gasol getting forced by KG to shoot fadeway jumphooks is not lack of toughness? Allowing the other team to push you around and dunk on you is not lack of toughness?! Getting blown out by 39 points in Game 6 of the NBA FINALS is not lack of toughness?!
Celtics > Lakers in the Nba finals. But you are right that they will be lucky to make it to the Finals this year because other teams will not allow the Celtics to push them around the way the Lakers did last year in the Finals.
as strange as this sounds, i hope the rockets get their shit together. right now they are the only team with enough talent to challenge the lakers. i do not want to see another lakers boston final. this is probably the only team in the west that is as loaded as the lakers in terms of talent.

Last season, before the Finals, the Lakers were overwhelming favourites. I still remember what experts, writers and Lakers fans were saying at the time.
All these months later, the Celtics are still a fairly superior rebounding and defensive team.

The C's are simply a superior team period. However, even you must admit the loss of Posey is going to hurt if Boston plays LA again in the Finals. That guy was nailing clutch shots on one end and playing great D on the other. I don't know if the C's have both of those things in any one player outside of the big 3 now.

Any NBA team can beat another NBA team in one game under the right circumstances. Shit, we've seen the Oklahoma City Thunder beat some decent NBA teams and they have the worst talent in the league.
It takes toughness to beat a good to great team in a playoff series.
You talk about an early regular season game like it actually matters. Your fellow Laker fans would laugh at that kind of logic.
Phil Jackson and Kobe themselves specifically said they needed to be tougher this season. And, you're saying they don't need to be tougher? They have yet to really shown they're "tougher" this season. They haven't physically dominated a good team yet. Beat good teams? Yes. With finesse and high shooting percentages. Have they beat a really good team in a grind it out, half court possession, low scoring, defensive game. They can't do that. They have yet to prove they can win that way. That's the type of game in the playoffs they would have to win. They haven't proven they're tough enough to win that kind of game yet.

The BOS game was precisely that. It was a grind-it-out game the whole way through. The Lakers put the clamps on BOS defensively in the 4th and held them to under 20 pts and as a result they won the game. The Lakers barely hit the 100 mark.
The Lakers have proven they can win any kind of game. Slow it down, speed it up, it doesn't fucking matter. They have all the mental toughness they need. What they were missing was size and a physical presence in the paint to deal with Perkins and KG and thwart Allen, Pierce, and Rondo from attacking the rim relentlessly. Now they have that.

Very true that Manu needs to step up his game, but even now the Spurs backcourt is better. If Manu plays like last year (when fully healthy) it is a solid mis-match. Kobe helps level that out some because he is so great, but Tim does the same thing on the front court mis-match the Lakers have.
