NEW YORK (AFP) - The National Basketball Association suspended Atlanta Hawks guard Tyronn Lue for one game without pay for punching Denver's Eduardo Najera in a game the previous night.

NBA senior vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson announced the sanction on Wednesday.

With 5:50 remaining in the fourth quarter of Atlanta's 97-74 loss to Denver, the Lue punched the Najera ( :wtf :wtf )in the body and was thrown out of the game.

Lue was to serve his suspension Wednesday when the Hawks visited Utah.

I saw it.... Lue acted like a punk....

Rafer should be retroactively suspended... IMO.

They should make suspensions for shit like that more severe. Something like "you punch someone, 10 game suspension". I bet noone does it again

LUE don't act like a PUSSY.

And hoopsfan Steve Kerr hit Najera where it hurt the most on 5-29-03, losing the western conference finals and losing the chance to make it to the nba finals
