Grizzlies Buyout Steve Francis

The Memphis Grizzlies reached a buyout agreement and waived guard Steve Francis, Grizzlies General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Wallace announced today.

The 6-3, 210-pound guard has not appeared in a game with the Grizzlies or Houston Rockets this season after he was acquired from Houston on Dec. 24, 2008 along with Memphis’ own 2009 second round draft pick and cash considerations in exchange for a conditional 2011 second round draft pick.

It's his time to retire. Francis has been disappointing us since he left houston inexchange for tmac, tmac has played some big games after that (including two tripple doubles and 13pt/35s against spurs) but... ...

Francis > tmac

it would be a dream if francis came back fully healthy and played like the old franchsie ,dunking, crossovers, all that good stuff he used to do.

Francis and Marbury are like twins....two awesome ballers who ruined HOF potential with selfish attitudes.

I don't care where Francis ends up. I hope he gets another chance and shines though. Just as a feel good come from behind against all odds kinda story.

Feel-good story? Fuck that loser. The guy's career highlight was crying onstage when Vancouver wasted their #2 pick on his sorry ass.

it doesn't look good for him but at least he has a better chance than Vin Baker
