At least he got the double letter thing right -- it could have been Boner like a few years ago.

I guess Bonner took this thread as his cue to stop scoring.

Bonner will hit shots.. you really think he'll miss 4 open three pointers against LA per game in a game series? Bonner missing shots isn't gonna be his problem in a long series. Both he and Tim are going to need to do their work much earlier to force Gasol and Bynum off the block.

fucking haters, everyone who dissed Bonner in this thread - that LA game is in the past and counted just the same as this game where Bonner was on fire.

yes

he only missed one out of 7 tonight, and he had the exact same wide open shots against LA.

I bet he probably heard about how he missed wide open shots from people......or came here and saw it. You know, if we keep complaining about him missing wide open shots, he might hit them all the time, ya know?

but he wasn't playing LA and thats the question you asked.

If he nails the wide open shots he got tonight, and gets the same shots against LA, then its reason to believe he will hit his wide open shots vs. LA.

there's a name for this equation:

1+1=2. Putting one and one together. It's not difficult.

So unless you really believe he's going to miss 4 wide open looks per game against LA ..

“It's been frustrating, because I started consistently,” Ginobili said. “I had solid games. Then, a month later I find myself playing either very good games or bad games. I don't know what it is, but I am trying to work on it mentally.”

not a big game

he's a shooter .. and over multiple games that big game fear is going to fade, especially if we win a series or two in the playoffs with him being a big contributor. You act like he got substantial playing time before this and should just have no fear already. He's yet to play a large role on a championship squad. Additonally, he is still finding his niche, just like every other player including the big 3 on the Spurs.

WHEN he plays like he did today the Spurs are going to have no trouble scoring on the Lakers. It's the D you should be more worried about, and not just Bonner - Oberto, Thomas and even Tim have taken off that side of the court numerous occasions this season.

but but but ... if.. :lol It didn't happen vs LA and that's a fact.

i didnt say but once in that post, and the single 'if' was just part of the "if/then" equation I posted, the if happened in that, he nailed his shots tonight.

In other words, you're a fucking tool, a hater and you don't even have a leg to stand on.

BTW, we already played and beat LA once and he had double digit scoring - he was nailing his shots, got pulled for the D. You lose.

I do still worry about Bonner having the confidence to step up in big game situations. Yeah he will get better throughout the year but there is no guarantee he will show up when it counts come playoff time. I still remember in '04 when the sprus had this one perimeter player who was 6'10 and could shoot 3 at high percentages but had shaky confidence in the big games. This guy ended up choking against LA come playoff time when Phill Jackson left him open a bunch of times despite the fact he had played great towards the end of the year he sitll missed everything. If you dont' remember that guy was Hedo and Bonner could end up just like Hedo and that is why I'm not sold on him yet.

Point taken but the situations are much different. Bonner is not expected to be anywhere near the level Hedo was. Additionally, Bonner's been through hell and back with Pop and this spurs team, a lot more than Hedo went through, and Bonner also has something called a ring, even though he didn't earn it, he saw how it all went down. Bonner has yet to hit his best stride this season, and tonight's game was a big step in that direction.

Let me go on and say Parker's midrange game is so much better that they aren't going to be packing the paint nearly as much as 04 as well, which will play a big role in combatting Phil's oft-used strategy. Also, its a proven fact now Turkoglu needs the ball in his hands some of the time to be effect - and that would have never happened here. Bonner only needs the ball for one second so he can shoot it.

You're the one carrying around his nut sack on your shoulder praising him.

LOL okay, its wrong to praise a spurs player who goes 6-7 from 3pt land in a tough win on an opponent's home floor?

Don't hate me because I choose to root for my team as opposed to ruthlessly belittle it.

Why get all aggravated about Bonner's performance come the playoffs? That chapter of his career is still to be written. I enjoy his moments of success like today and am happy the Lakers game doesn't seem to have affected his confidence.. w/c is more than i can say about a lot of posters who could be diagnosed as bi-polar.:lol As a fan, I know Bonner will have good games and games when he will suck.. I just want him to have his chance to contribute and be recognized come playoffs.. I think he's earned it.
