He's continuing the explosion he underwent last Jan. before he went down with an injury. This kid is the real deal and the next great C in the WC.

It would be tight if Madsen took Mbenga's spot on the Lakers.

I think his worse case scenario is a more explosive Tim Duncan.

(Yeah, a Laker fan actually said that)

duncans got better range but drew is money from 15 feet in. and his foot work is definitely duncan "esqe"

If Mark and Turi were still here, garbage time would be the most exciting part of a game.

haha jefferson looks scared to go at drew so hes taken a lot of those jumpers.I love how he's getting that pre-injury swagger back & will continue to get even better as the season progresses. All laker fans were impatient when he returned so now you get to see the real bynum play. BTW him & ariza would of not made a difference in the Finals hahahaha :lol

I was poking fun at something another Laker fan said. I wrote it in white under my initial post...

I've always felt Drew was a mix of Shaq's strength, Dream's D, and Duncan's post move and fundamentals.

The only question now is who will go down as the better big man in history.

Bynum completely dumped on Jefferson tonight. Hilarious how bad Al is on the defensive end. And people wonder why he wasn't put in the All-Star game.

trade mbenga for maddog, chris mihm for ty lue, resign horry and its 2001 all over again

Vindication for all the "Bynum is a bust" threads that have floated around since last year.

You have to eat some of that as well because you said Bynum would be an all star this year and that the Wolves, Thunder and Grizzles would be in the hunt for the 8th seed. All massive misses.

I think Bynum for All-Star is a narrow miss. Who would have thunk Shaq would have a renaissance this year? Next year, Bynum will be an All-Star.

Wolves I think are still in the hunt but Thunder/Grizz are massive misses.

Bynum was a case of too little to late. He has played very well all season (even though his stats had not ballooned until now) especially considering he was coming off an injury and the Lakers were figuring out the rotations and line ups with him and Pau. If he continues to play at this level, he will be an all star for sure next year.

Wolves are not in the hunt at all. They are 10 games back of the 8th seed and nine games behind the team in 9th. There is no way the Wolves are going to win 33 more games considering it will take at least 49 wins to get into the playoffs.

Wolves have had a superb January. Add to this, Suns/Mavs/Jazz have been sucking bad lately.

If this trend continues, spots #7 and #8 will be pretty open for Wolves and the Warriors even.

You think that the Wolves will win 33 more games this year? Ya, it will be open, between Houston, Mavs, Jazz and Suns. No way are the Wolves in the hunt.

Not at all. I think the bar has been lowered substantially for the Final Playoff spots. I think the better question is whether or not the Mavs/Suns/Jazz can win ~24 more.

Boy, are we sensitive tonight, ain't we? He'll probably be back before the playoffs.
And honestly, what he does next decade I don't really give a crap about. We'll probably be out of the picture with TD gone anyways.

Hell I wouldn't even say its guaranteed the Lakers suddently become a dynasty the next decade. One thing I have learned in life is nothing is guaranteed. They are so many unpredictable variables that determine the future. Things look good for LA but you just never know about injuries, or if a rival is able to pull a bunch of great trades or sign FA's that can put them over the top.

I agree there's no guarantees, but if there's something I'm fairly certain about is that there's just not going to be another TD, and when he calls it quits, and so does Pop, it's going to be a while until we get back to this level of excellence if at all. That's why we have to enjoy these last few years as Spurs fans, then hope for the best after that...

Andrew Bynum is breaking in half before our eyes. Not suprising since he lives in LA-LA land and enjoys watching Brokeback mountain like the rest of you out there.
