Attention: Australian Spurs/NBA fans!

I know there is a few of you regularly posting in here.

For those of you lucky enough to have HDTV, Channel 10HD are showing 2 live NBA games per week starting this Monday before the Superbowl. 6:30AM WST its Cleveland vs Detroit. This is the first time I can remember NBA being on Free to Air television since the 99' Finals.

I didn't think the NBA was going to start untill our lovely new OneHD channel started up but it seems not. The selection of games is all the teams you would expect except that mostly every matchup is a good one.

Spurs fans, we get 5 games between now and April 13th including matchups against the Lakers, Rockets, Suns, Blazers and Pistons.

My internet connection isn't fast enough! I'm on a pair gains telephone line. It's a load of shit. Telstra don't change it unless there is actual problems with the line.

I enquired about this to a nerd mate. I have a HD Blu Ray Laptop connected to my Plasma via HDMI and he seems to think I need to buy a HDTV Card for the laptop and that recording will take up shitloads of space and not be that awesome quality.

Don't quote me on this but i read some-where Ten are going to have a dedicated SD channel in ONE once it starts. All you need is a DVD recorder with a digital tuner.

Yah thats the dedicated HD channel plus they going to have a dedicated SD channel that shows the same. So people that can't get HD don't miss out on a 24hour sports channel. Not sure what number it's going to be though.

It doesn't matter too much for me because i can see both but my DVD recorder only does SD. Since most of the start times im at work... that SD channel is going to be usefull.

Yeah, no kidding. That HD stuff is fantastic to watch. Have you also noticed that the HD broadcasts from US sports (NFL, NBA) are of a much higher quality to that of our own Aussie broadcasts? Maybe it's just me.

i must admit the administration from 99-09 = horseshit, ever since they tried to get greedy by forcing the game off free-2-air tv and put on cable tv, the sport has been in decline. i use to remember the crowds would be 10000-15000 people inside the stadium easy and sometimes close to 20000 people on derby nights....but now lol 2000-3000 people at games.....fuck might as well switch sport codes and watch football/soccer.
