Not 100% sure, but after looking around I read that Gortat przejdzie might come to san antonio. Here is the link, and if anyone has any more news on this.

Sorry, the Spurs have a limit of five consonants in the first seven characters of any player's name.

It wrotes that Gortat wants 30mln/5 years. Also that Spurs have some free space in salary, and want to use it for signing Gortat , instead of Splitter who is suppose to stay in Europe for another year. They also wrote that Thomas is old, and Oberto is slow and old, and both suck, so Duncan have no help in the paint.

That`s all I think.

In Poland everybody now are in some sort of Gortat mania , and they overrated him as well. I think Spurs need him, but 30mln $/5 years is too much for him

He may not be who i prefer, but shit he is 7 foot, practiced with dwight, and with urgency of getting a quality big for THIS YEAR i think is a great move by the organization imo. Now this is not considering how much they are paying him and for how long.

What has he done to merit anything more than a minimum contract?

If the article was talking about 30m/5yrs they are talking about after the season, and I doubt the Spurs would pay him that. He's great for his current salary, at 30m/5yrs he'd be in Jim McIlvaine territory. We can do better for the full MLE.

Thank you for the translation. :king The think the article actually states that it is $30M/6 years instead of five. I still think that $5M/yr is too much, but I'd like that better than $6M/yr.:lol

Well, he is not only a big help on but also off the court:

The "Polish Hammer" can hook you up with old socks, tickets (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Video-Marcin-Gortat-can-hook-you-up-with-old-so;_ylt=Av8tY0dMdnvAsLmhKWD3Lm28vLYF?urn=nba,13777 6)

Nothing. He has played very little and has shown nothing that suggests that he is much more than a off the bench big man. I wouldn't do more than 10 million/4 years...maybe with a player option on the 4 year.

I want to play for the Spurs and I want 29 million for 5 years.

yep, my bad. It is about 6 years.

I think Gortat is worth Oberto`s contract, which is 3,6 mln per year. I would give him 11mln/4 years, with some option for last year.

I would give him a 10-day contract at the most right now.

Except that 5 years is the maximum allowed under the CBA.
