Why not? West is younger, he can start at PF with Duncan at center. He will function really well in your pick-n-roll offense. He would be a fantastic addition to your team. Plus we would even take Oberto as a throw-in.

According to most knowledgeable Hornets observers, West has evolved into a black hole. No thanks.

Trade won't work. Manu has a clause in his contract stating that he has to be the biggest flopper on the team he plays for. Have to be Paul for Manu and fillers.

:lmao That's funny and seriously lame. But I think you didn't mean what you stated.

I know this is kinda heresy, and my apology to COM, but i think i'll take that deal. :)

No dis to Manu, but an All Stars big trumps an All Stars guard, West's younger, and RMJ isn't too shabby to succeed him.

Especially when Manu fills a huge need for us and we can replace West with Armstrong and Wright.

West seems to have chronic back issues. Not good for someone his age.

Then we'll take Armstrong or Wright for Vaughn and Udoka...

No way. Chandler is a very limited player on offense. W/o Paul to throw him all those alley-oops he probably would have half as many points.

But he's 25, athletic, rebounder, defender. Alot to work with. That's why I want to keep him and trade West for some value. West is cheap right now, but he's gonna be a FA soon and demand a payraise.

i doubt that you are in the position to make such a deal. but even if you were, you are asking people who have no authority.

Last year I wouldve seriously considered it but this year I take a pass. I really think he has lost maturity and has lost a bit of his game due to the back injury. I was very suprised at how bad the hornets looked last night.

That a guy is listed as a PF doesn't make him a "big". Did you see him play?

Manu plays the best when he's angry... he goes into super competitive Manu mode. Just imagine what he would do to the Spurs if he was traded. Good grief, it would be a bloody massacre.

David West is awesome. He'd do well on the Spurs as soon as they told him to shut the fuck up and play. That said, I might give up Manu for West if you threw in Chandler and a draft pick.

You can have Ime, Fab, Vaughn, the rights to Splitter, and a 2nd round draft pick for West and Devin Brown

replace west with chandler and we call it a deal

YES! :clap

we don't need much O out of him, even though he might develop some yet, he'll really help us defending other elite bigs and in the rebound department, he'll get some easy buckets cleaning up after TP and TD after they've collapsed the D, we've never had a guy like that before. plus he's still quite young

West only proved his improved offensive game last year.

I'd prefer CP3 for Manu and Tony.

That's not true. His biggest improvement came in CP3's rookie season. He's just been slightly improved the last two seasons especially with better players around to help him win more. He's probably peaked as far as his development go, but has 4-5 more seasons of 18-20 pts and 8 boards.

No way. Chandler's 25. Why trade him? Manu is in his 30s. He's not gonna dominate too much longer especially if he keeps getting injured. West would be fair since he's about 28 and will fit in nicely with your offense.

West + Posey + Wright for Manu + Oberto + Vaughan

Hornets get veteran know how and championship pedigree.

Spurs may even bring Dallas into the deal in order to send Devean "Championship Pedigree" George to the Hornets to really give them a veteran to knock down some timely shots and give them some extra championship pedigree.

The Hornets would really love their team.

Manu is a proven winner and the heart of this team more often than not... anyone who would consider trading him just for West is insane.
Manu would make the hornets a real contender, and the deal would probably come back and bite us in the ass.

thanks, son west is just a duncan-type of player who can do no more than what duncan can do. Duncan is west's idol you know, but west still has a long way to go to get to duncan's level though he's years younger than duncan. West has a couple of years to improve himself but I don't think he can ever be as good as TD even for one second.

West's bad back will turn him into another T-Mac. Why would we want him? Another Horry-like back pick on West will end his season. Phew!
