I shipped off my 360 a few days ago... luckily TrainWreck let me borrow his extra so I'm all good. I went a day without one though so I went by Wootz Gaming Cafe on Culebra near Tezel just to see what it was like.
Has anybody been before? I thought it had a pretty sweet setup. 2 huge projector screens for GH/Rockband/sports games, a single large 60 inch plasma for movies/gaming, HD 360 stations with big headsets for sound, and a selection of just about any recent game that's come out to play.
For the 10 bucks it cost to go, i'd say it was worth it.

I've always wondered what that place was. Sometimes my wife and I will be leaving my in-laws house late (her family likes to party lol) and we'll pass by around 2:30 or 3:00 AM and see cars there. Do they have Rock Band contests/nights or is it just like an arcade buffet (only with console games)?

During the weekends they have different tournaments for diff games. Not so sure during the week. Sometimes a couple of us will get together and go down there for an all nighter give some money to the wives so they can go see a movie and play some gears or halo or rockband
Saw that place too a couple of weeks ago.
What the fuck is "Wootz"?
I'd probably like it more if they had named it w00t instead...
Is that like the plural of w00t?

That is awesome. Hey J let me know if they give you a free month of XBOX live like they did with me or if I am just special.

I can't seem to play my normal set up after using those ear phones and being in a setting which is perfect for gaming. I've been back 3 times and I must say I'm addicted. I know they have tournaments but I'm not sure how often and to which games they use.
They also opened up a cafe that had a pretty decent burger and fries. 10 bucks for a day pass. So 16 dollars for a cheeseburger, fries, access to most recent releases, and your own personal gaming station. Not bad.

I didn't get a Live card. I reckon that might have been a promotion for when they just opened or something.
I just renewed my account for a year so I probably would have given it away or something.

I meant when you sent in your xbox. When they fixed mine and sent it back they included a free month of live. If you haven't got it back yet and do get one you can give it away to me.

Can you just buy another Hard drive for it then?
Can you hook them up together and make a super Xbox?

yeah you can buy a different hd and the only way to connect the xbox's is through a lan... one on one tv and the other on another tv.

I had the same issue. So I bought a syncmaster samsung LCD TV monitor with cables to support xbox then turned around and bought the Turtle headphones they use. I use my big screen at nights and when the wife is on the tv I switch it to the monitor and play :P Great thing is the headphones can connect directly to the TV. They are really nice well worth the investment.

I've never really gamed with headphones before and now I can't imagine playing without them. IMO it's better than SS because none of the sound gets washed out.

Fucking Turtle Beach. I need a pair of those x4s that they sell for $200.00, but I just can't spend 200 bucks on a pair of headphones, much less gaming headphones. Ever. Even if they're worth it. But I really fucking want a pair and it's just agonizing not having them.

The difference is like fucking without a rubber vs. fucking with one.
