I'm no Magic lurker, but Orlando is playing incredibly well this year, and would not be surprised if they hand a beatdown to the Mavs. That said, I don't think the Mavs should feel too bad if that happens. What I mean is, they have shown signs of recovery in the last few games, and losing one game against one of the super top teams in the league shouldn't undo all that. Obviously a win would be a great confidence booster...

That was a BEAUTIFUL offensive half for the Mavs IMO. Alley oop to Damp, backdoor cuts, Kidd posting up, getting to FT line

Howard has a big game cause we're not double teaming in, sticking to shooters on perimeter. I like that strategy personally, plus he's having to work for his points (hooks, FT's), not many dunks.

Let's hope our Mavs can actually sustain this. Woulda been nice if J-Ho nailed that 3 at the end.

We gotta be careful. magic are a team that can get hot quickly. First 3 minutes of 2nd half are important.

Howard's made like 5 hooks and made all of his FTA's. If he's gonna play that well, nothing you can do but tip your hat. Just don't let the Magic get hot from three and no alley oop fests.

Howard will get his, no doubt about that. His offensive repertoire is much better than what I remembered. He has developed some nice moves. But I say let him go against Damp, who has done a fine job up to this point, and try to defend the others.

He is hard to contain so I won't complain too much, though some of the calls on Hollins were pretty bad. But you are right, on defense they allow him to get away with too much I think.

More like shorthanded Mavs in the 4th. Mavs played great this game, nothing to add.

By the way, we also learned that Turkoglu is clearly the Magic's second best player. Why are Nelson and especially Lewis All Stars before him, is besides me.

This game. The Mavs got outscored by 4 points in the quarter, big deal. Our 20 point lead shrunk to 8, but big deal. its a league of runs and the Magic are a good offensive team.

Yeah, I was under the impression Kidd would have more freedom to start season.

He looks much more useful in the halfcourt this way, in the past the offense looked stagnant in halfcourt

Well I sincerely doubt the difference between mediocrity and eliteness is the PG calling the plays instead of the coach but atleast its more fun to watch, hopefully it isnt just a hot 3 game stretch.

To think where we could be in the standings if not for blown double digit leads :(... oh well, we have our share of fluke wins this year.
