View Full Version : Tim Duncan's 3 Pointer

Hey guys, lately I've been thinking about the Suns-Spurs series from last year's playoffs. Tim Duncan made a huge 3 pointer in Game 1 that sent the game into double overtime. After that the atmosphere in the arena was just crazy, the Spurs won the Game and used the momentum from that game to win the series also. Tim proved that he was still the owner of the Suns in that series. But sometimes I wonder what would have happened if Tim didn't make that 3, the Suns really seemed determined to try to beat the Spurs that year. What do you guys think would've happened if Tim doesn't make that three? Personally I still think the Spurs would still win the Series but it just would have been a much harder fought series.

fvck that, Tim scored that, Spurs won series.. We could talk about what would happend if he does not score. But this guy is clutch and this shot will go to history

even if he missed and we lost that game we would had still won the series.

If we would have lost the 1st game, I'd imagine we would be looking towards a 3-peat right now.

I always wonder about that actually. I think we still would have won the series but it would've been more competitive. Also, all the Suns would've been like "how stupid is Duncan? he can't make a three pointer, Spurs are gay and stupid."

If Tim's 3 doesn't go down then I wouldn't be able to say I was at the greatest playoff game ever played.

Spurs in six probably. From what I saw the story of that series after game one wasn't the Suns rolling over after a heartbreaking loss as much as the Spurs elevating their play after playing like shit and probably deserving to lose in the first game. As such I think the Spurs bounce back in game 2 and beyond regardless of whether it was a win or loss. Meanwhile, the Suns, I think the Suns, even with momentum, just weren't good enough that year to take the Spurs.

Suns fans are probably praying that they won't end up having to play the Spurs in this years playoffs.

Spurs in six. Either way the Spurs would've taken it.

it would have been a harder, more physical series. that 3 pointer was a shot at the suns' kidneys.
