Our beloved Mavs take down the best team in the NBA (CAUSE HOLLINGER TOLD ME) 105-95.
We caught a few breaks, Magic were uncharacteristically cold from behind the arc and Jameer dislocated his shoulder early in the 3rd. but the Magic had the whistles on their side and Howard made a bunch of fluky bullshit hook shots, so it balances out.
Dirk was MONEY down the stretch, clutch, closer.
Kidd did a wonderful job controlling the tempo of the game.
HOward's shooting was erratic, but he did get to the line.
Decent game from Terry
Barea with some clutch shots.
Damp and Hollins gave us a serviceable 12 fouls. I liked our strat of not doubling, preventing the shooters on the perimeter getting open. That to some extent played a role in the magic cold shooting.
Only dislike from this game is sloppy turnovers leading to 11 Magic fast break points.
We should be excited about this win, but not too excited. Time to build on it against Portland, @ Utah, and v Boston. I would like to see 2 or 3 wins out of those 3.
