Reports suggest that the NBA is adding HORSE to the All-Star weekend festivities. I know he's not an invitee, but I'd like to see Manu compete in a game of HORSE.

Curiously dated Feb. 14. (http://www.insidehoops.com/all-star-horse.shtml)

I agree, Nash should make a good competitor as well.

Manu would be perfect but the NBA will undoubtedly pick someone who is already going to be there to be in the competition. The NBA will probably ask Kobe, LeBron and Wade first and then go down the list if they decline. Nash would also make sense.

fuck that gay shit. there should be 1-1s. And it should be open to all players who want to participate. winner holds the court and is challenged by whoever.

In those rules, if the first mimic misses, the next player can do a new shot. I always played that if someone makes a shot, everyone has to mimic it, even if the previous person missed.

This wouldn't work because all players would hold back and not want to play until a lot of games are played. If it started with Tim Duncan v. Melvin Ely, and continued from there, Tim would probably lose by the fifth game out of exhaustion alone. It should be set up so that all who want to participate must sign up a month in advance and the players could be seeded (by PER maybe?) and set up in a bracketed sysetem. Then each player would have played the same amount of games as the person they are playing.

I would love to see Manu get picked for that to participate in especially since he's the Spurs champion at that but part of me is glad that he's staying home and not going to Phoenix this year (besides we all know how much he's hated around there http://www.spursreport.com/forums/images/smilies/smile1.gif). Even if he got invited I don't see him wanting to go.

That wouldn't even be fair. If Maravich were alive today, he'd still win the contest - no matter how old he would be.

Manu could just shoot it from half court over and over like in Game 1 05 WCF

I've likewise been asking for this for years. It should be awesome, but I agree that there should be some kind of competition to see who gets to play in the finals. Manu would be one of the favorites if he played, without a doubt.
