With Jameer Nelson very likely gone for the season, they need a veteran PG badly. Any chance we could swap Vaughn and possibly Udoka for someone we could actually use?

I wouldn't mind Tony Battie at all, but it wouldn't work with the salaries..other than him, there's nobody we would be able to get from them IMO..

JV + Oberto for Howard. Orlando gets veteran leadership, Spurs get younger.

The best we could hope for in return for JV is probably their Mascot.

Tony Battie would be a nice upgrade over Thomas though.

Thats alot of veteran savvy and playoff experience the Magic would gain. Its a question of whether they want to win now, or continue to build for the future.

Do it then we'll slide the coyote to the 12th man spot, he's already got a jersey and everything

.

How big do you think he is, 6-9? 6-10? Maybe 440?

Battie 15.6mins 4.5p .515 FG 3.8r .4 blk

KT 15.9mins 3.5p .458 FG 4.2r .7 blk

Battie is no upgrade at all over KT. He's the same soft scrub he's been since he got into the NBA. Imagine him trying to check Shaq in the playoffs. :lol

JJ Redick please. He's getting zero PT there, and with Redick, Mason, and Bonner - imagine the arsenal we'd have raining them 3's in May and June!

I would feel more comfortable with him guarding Pau and Bynum. Hes a good long 6'11". He finishes around the basket, ie he can actually dunk. Also, hes mid range J is just as good as Kurt's.

Having both of them means you can combine the stats because they won't be playing at the same time.

If you could get 30 minutes, 50 percent shooting, 8 points, 8 boards and a block out of them you'd take it.

no chance

JV, Udoka, Oberto have absolutely no value unless they are filler to make a real trade work under the salary cap rules.

but Gortat looks scarier,, imagine him and crazy eyes manning the frontcourt when Timmy is on the bench.. frightening:lol

Battie definitely isn't an upgrade over Kurt..but he's 6'11 and gives us a different role that Bonner, Kurt and Oberto can't play..so that's why I'd be interested in him..

they'll get a much better deal than we can give them though, unless they want Vaughn as their 3rd PG for insurance..there's no chance they'll have Anthony Johnson as their starting PG..they'll make a deal, or they'll get Marbury IMO..

haha. uh, no. Magic already have a veteran PG in Anthony Johnson.

Vaughn? The Magic would be in enough trouble as it is without Nelson. No disrespect to Vaughn but Anthony Johnson but 99% of his value right now is tied to being a great locker room guy and knowing the Spurs' offense and defense.

Ha! I'd give up your left nut to get Howard. Heck, I'd give up anyone this side of Duncan to get Howard. Most dominant center in the game right now.

Why on earth would the Magic want Vaughn? Hill for Gortart would be the most reasonable trade that could happen between these two teams, but this has already been discussed.

this is where the magics lack of depth hurts them. an injury puts them weak at a position but they dont have anyone good enough to trade in order to get assets.

Having tow mascots would be nice. They could do naughty things at halftime.
