Kings May Unload Udrih To Dallas, Magic Or Hornets?

Feb 04, 2009 1:19 PM EST
Dallas is believed to have inquired about Beno Udrih as a possible backup for Jason Kidd with the pieces coming to Sacramento likely including Jerry Stackhouse.

Udrih was signed to a five-year, $32.5 million contract last summer that Sacramento already appears to be regretting.

Udrih may draw interest from New Orleans or Orlando as well, who both have a shortage of point guards.

Kings was very stupid to give him that contract. Let's see if Cuban is that dumb. he just traded Diop and his bad contract and he may add another awful one

He'd probably hurt himself again on the plane to Dallas, Orlando, or wherever.

What was his last ailment, his calf?

Yeah Cubes. Bring Beno to Dallas so Tony and George will have someone else to abuse.

sons at this point I wouldn't have a problem with our mascot, honeybees, or cleaning crew getting an open shot at the PG position with Paul out right now.

Same formula as damn near every bad contract in the NBA: actual effort in contract year + foolish and/or desperate GM with cap space. He's got the actual talent to justify that sort of money he's just got a shitty work ethic when it comes to conditioning and rehabbing injuries. And don't forget! Beno has championship experience!

Yeah and so does Samaki Walker.

Damn, Beno has the Kings wanting to salary dump him faster than I thought. After signing his big deal, I thought it'd take about one full season before they began to regret it. Three months? Impressive :tu

So the Mavs trade away one full MLE mistake and are thinking about picking another one to replace it?

Barea is probably better than Beno. Why would the Mavs unload their most valuable trading chip in Stack's expiring to take back a bad contract, especially after they dumped Diop in order to avoid having him steal their money for the next five years?

No, they're not.

It's gonna be a great news for us if we can get Udrih without loseing to much. Udrih had never acted as a played he is capable to be when he was playing for spurs, so that he was badly underrated and signed with Kings a contract that is not the reflection of his real value. barea is a good player but we still need someone else to take more game time from kidd's book. we require the 35 kidd to reserve some energy for playoffs though he is always pretty energetic as if he was just 30.

Which by default makes him better than any pg on the rockets.

Not arguing that the Rockets pg's suck. That's been a fact for years even back to the Rudy T days. Yeah, I"m saying it. Francis is not a PG. He shoulda been a SG.
