We were talking about this earlier today. What would you prefer .. the Lakers get the eighth seed and the Spurs sweep them out of the playoffs, or the Lakers don't make the playoffs at all?

Sweep.

I don't know. They're both tasty options, considering that there is no real draft prize this year if they miss the playoffs. I'd LOVE to see Kobe miss the playoffs, and I'd LOVE to see the Spurs jam the brooms up their asses.

Gimme the Lakers in the eight spot.

Fuck yeah.

I'm not sure which would be sweeter...

Sweeping the Lakers in the playoffs or letting Kobe Bryant deal with the agony of knowing that his master plan failed and he failed to make his team a playoff contender. When was the last time Kobe was left out of the playoffs? 97? 98?

....eh.

Bring them in for the janitors. :smokin

Never, AFAIK.

Sweep the Lakers, and they don't get the chance for a lottery pick.

Never, AFAIK.

Right you are. I was thinking the Lakers missed the playoffs his rookie year, but they got knocked out by the Jazz which all lead up to another title for Chicago.

It wouldn't be as sweet without Shaq there. I say let LA and Minny miss the Playoffs, and take our chances with Denver.

Sweep LA, fuck LA getting the league to get them the first pick.

Let Kevin Garnett miss the playoffs and see him cry hahaha.

My perfect playoff picture:

1st round: Spurs v Timberwolves - deliver Minnesota another first round exit for old times sake.
Semis: Spurs v Lakers - sweep Lakers for vengeance sake.
Conf. Finals: Spurs v Suns - Spurs and Suns duel it out in what would be an awesome finals matchup, Spurs come out on top of course.
Finals: Spurs v Heat - Spurs deflate a surging Heat team and get a little revenge on Shaq, too.

Granted, I highly doubt this is how it's going to happen. But that's how it goes down in my dreamland league.

I don't think the Lakers are going to make it. 7 of their final 11 games are on the road. 9 of those 11 are against playoff teams. They are finished.

I think Denver will get the eighth seed.

unfortunetely the lakers will not make it, I would rather face the lakers than the nuggets or the wolves.

I'm not worried about any of the three. Maybe the wolves if they get their act together.

Miss the playoffs. Rumor in LA is that Buss has given coach and GM ultimatum about making the playoffs because of additional revenue. I want to see the shit fly when they don't get in.
