ginobili is the x-factor for the spurs. it would be unthinkable for the spurs to ever trade him. It would kinda be like trading robert horry when he was on the spurs, because with both those players they affect the game in so many ways not just scoring. Guys like that are priceless and are always gonna be in the game at the end regardless of how they have played the first 3 qtrs.

Lol, I have 3 out of the top 4 guards of the week on my fantasy team. Too many SG's = horrible FG%

I traded for Ginobili last week, I gave up Bogut. Good move by me! Now I have CP3, Ginobili and Granger.

God, CP3 + Granger is nasty (in a good way).

I made the dumbest trade of the year, Vince Carter for A.I., if that cancerous piece of shit didn't suck my team wouldn't lose FG% every week.

I have the sickest fantasy team known to man. I am in a 12 team, h2h, standard 9 cat league. My draft is what allowed me to make the trades that landed me superstars. I failed to mention that I also have Lebron and Kobe on my team. So that makes it Lebron, CP3, Kobe, Granger and Ginobili on my 12 team league. I know it sounds fake, but this is real. It was all my draft that allowed me to make so many moves.

That's pretty dam good. I'm in a 12 team, 15 players a team league and don't have as much talent at the top as you do but have talent and depth throughout my team.

I had a great draft as well, Manu and Nene being my 9th round and 10th round pick probably the best part. Today I was proposed Amare for those two and can't decide if I should do it, prob not though. Manu has been balling lately.

No way. Amare has gone way done in value (performance wise). Nene is way out performing his draft position. What does Amare do that Nene does not except for shooting FT's?

Here is my draft, I had the second pick and we had 15 rounds:

1. (1) Chris Paul
2. (24) Danny Granger
3. (25) Yao Ming
4. (48) Jason Kidd
5. (49) Andrew Bynum
6. (72) Corey Maggette
7. (73) Andrew Bogut
8. (96) O.J. Mayo
9. (97) Zach Randolph
10. (120) Charlie Villanueva
11. (121) Kenyon Martin
12. (144) Rafer Alston
13. (145) John Salmons
14. (168) Chris Duhon
15. (169) Nick Collison

The whole entire draft was value and I made a ton of moves. I sold high at the right time (although I did make some bad moves and had to get lucky that the guys I traded, got traded, so I could get them back).

This is my team as it stands today, I had to make a ton of moves (this is by far the most I have ever traded in my life, but the league was really open and loose except for a patch of vetoing that happened):

Chris Paul
Kobe Bryant
Josh Howard
LeBron James
Corey Maggette
Luis Scola
Ronny Turiaf
Tyson Chandler
Brandon Bass
Joel Przybilla
Danny Granger
Manu Ginobili
Emeka Okafor
Deron Williams
Brad Miller

The bottom 4 guys on my team suck, but I do not need them to be great. My strategy is always to have dominate guards (or guys that get guard stats: good ft%, 3pt, ast, stl) then to just have serviceable bigs who shoot over 50%, reb 7+ and block shots.

Here's my team (no particular order)

Randy Foye
Allen Iverson
Kirk Hinrich (just holding him incase he gets traded)
Shawn Marion
Brook Lopez
nene
Jermaine O'Neal
Al Jefferson
Al Harrington
Dwayne Wade
Kevin Martin
Michael Pietrus
Mike Dunleavy
Manu
Joe Johnson

Again, a bunch of sell highs and buy lows and luck free agents.

Yeah your team is definitely legit. I also have the dominant guard strategy (everyone else in my league tries to go big so it's easy) and that's worked well so far.

That is a very good team. Plenty of ast, stls and 3's and FT% with: Foye, Wade, Manu, JJ, Iverson and Kirk. Then more than servicable big men (or guys that get big man stats) in Marion, Lopez, Nene, Al Jefferson, O'neal. Then good guys to boost other cats in Martin, Dunleavy, Harrington and Pietrus. Very good balance.

I had Brook and Foye and sold them high. Depending on how you got Marion, that is the only guy that is really "under performing" (but usually only if you drafted him high). If you traded for him, you probably got a good deal as the owner was probably frustrated.

Edit: Oh and Iverson as well. Luckily, I traded him for Deron Williams when D-Will was hurt, so that turned out very well so far.

It really hurt me that I lost Bynum for nothing. He was playing great and justifying my 4th round pick on him which everyone gave me crap for. Luckily, I traded Bogut 2 weeks ago for Manu straight up.

I won my league last year with the same strategy, although I did not go the "superstar" route. My team last year had the same set up (meaning the stats I went after):

Baron Davis (who freaked out last year)
Randy Foye
Stephen Jackson
Big Z
Lebron James
Al Jefferson
Joe Johnson
Dirk
McDyess
Jermaine O'neal
Stuckey
and then some scrubs because I can only see my roster from the last day of the season when I dropped some of my better players (granger...) to pick up games played in the PO.

Yeah aside from the fact I lose turnovers and FG% every week I can't complain. The FG% thing I should address but good teams always have turnovers.

And yeah I traded Zack Randolph for Marion and I think Randolph has played like 3 games since that trade.

Just imagine my team if I didn't trade Carter and Jeff Green for A.I. :bang

My guess is you're in 1st in your league lol, how big is your lead, I'm finally starting to get some distance between me and 2nd place.

Last year was the first fantasy basketball league I won. Chauncey, Iverson, and Bosh put my team on their backs and carried it through the playoffs.

I tank turnovers every season, it is such a weak cat. I usually win FT%, and FG% I am always competitive in along with 3's. But I win every other category. I am in first by 10 games ( I am 86-39-1). I have lost 3 weeks and won 11. I am probably going to lose some ground this week since I lost Bynum, D-Will is out, CP3 is out and so is Chandler. But oh well.

Yeah I'm 80-43-3 and won 10, tied 1, and lost 3. Our teams are almost identical in success, it's uncanny. Since my team has finally been healthy I've gone 8-1 last week and the week before.

I also hate turnovers, you shouldn't be penalized for assembling a team of players who touch the ball a lot. IMO it should be assist:turnover ratio.

Ya, the only reason I like TO is the same reason I like FT%, it keeps either the bigs or the guards from being to dominate. Dwight Howard would murder everyone if FT% did not count and guards would be even better if TO did not count. I do not care, I just tank it.

I need to get healthy though. I just traded for Kobe last night. I gave up too much, but in our league, if you want a superstar you have to pay for it, especially considering the team I already had. I traded David West, Kevin Durant and Charlie V for Kobe and Brad Miller. I am sure everyone in the league was thrilled to see someone trade Kobe to the guy in 1st when he already has Lebron and CP3!

Are you in a money league?

Yeah that is a lot but every competitive league has managers that make you pay for their best player. I might pick Bynum up because I really think he's coming back in a month, 8-12 weeks is a drastic overestimation for recovery time from that injury.

I really want one of those 3 players but it's hard to get them, Paul in particular. I'll set my sites on Kobe.

Yup, not a whole lot, 20 bucks a person winner gets 200 second place gets 40.

Now is a good time to go for CP3, he is out with a groin pull (only for a couple of games). They probably won't give him up, but now is as good a time as any to go after him.

I dropped Bynum knowing that I will keep an eye on him. I have a high waiver priority so I can grab him back if I read anything in the next two days.

I am in a 30.00 league. 3rd gets 30.00 2nd gets 60.00 winner of the loser playoffs gets 15.00 and 1st gets the rest 255

You can try and maybe lowball for CP3 by offering Iverson/Kevin Martin, then have the roster spot to pick up Bynum if you think he is coming back? What is the roster of the guy who has CP3 and what place is he in?

I'm friends with him and he's in 3rd place so he's not gonna get desperate, especially trading Paul to me, he's already really pissed that he waived Dunleavy and I picked him up.

He really needs points, blocks, and oddly enough assists (idk how you can have Chris Paul and be 8th in the league for total assists). I think I might be able to pull something off but highly unlikely.
