Mavs down 29-27 after 1.

Mavs up 39-36 halfway through 2nd.

fast break game rolling, Dirk only has 2 pts though I believe.

Mavs 50-41. Wright does a serviceable job on Roy IMO.

Yeah my bad , forgot about that 3. 5 for Dirk.

Only complaint a few too many open 3 PT looks for my taste.

Keep it up Mavs!

Ghazi

57-45 @ half!

Good half for our beloved Mavs, shooting 63% and the fast break game is functioning.

Dirk's 3rd foul at end vexes shoulda shot over the top, but oh well

Keep it up boys!

wow wut got into the mavs? howard and bass are on fire! blazers struggling against a veteran squad. they need to trade for a vet real bad.

Mavs 82 Blazers 72

We're doing a mediocre job on the glass but Portland is after all the best offensive rebounding team in the league

Portland's zone disrupted us somewhat, although Kidd was adequate getting into the paint.

Cmon Mavs finish

And damn Bayless is pretty fast, and a good finisher.

Kidd would fit in great with the Blazers this year and it'd be great to get some of that young talent from them.

Finish guys, offense has been stagnant this quarter.

And Dirk's been awfully passive.

Mavs just made some fluke shots. :cheer

Ghazi

It was basically "really out of hand" anyway. THe Blazers needed two fluky bullshit jumpers and a fluke turnover, it's not as if they ever had ball with chance to tie or take lead.

This happened against Philly too, so our Mavs need to do a better job of closing out.

Yeah it's always just the other team doing fluky things.

Our beloved Mavs are such dominant closers. :cheer

It was good to see Brandon Bass dominating. He needs to play well for the Mavs to have a chance.

Let's not act like it was a comedy of errors, it was just 1 turnover with our subs. The Blazers still had to make those 3's.

Bass was fucking beastly, and Josh looked like Josh. We were in control from start to finish, that's what happens when other people step up to help Dirk/Terry. If Howard plays like an all star, we beat top 4 seeds and have a chance to make some noise. Otherwise, get ready for another one and done.

They need to take care of business against an undermanned Jazz team. And Dirk needs to not get kicked out of the game.

Ghazi
02-04-2009, 11:26 PM
It's kinda lame that both our road games against hte Jazz this year have been back to back.

They're still a good team even without Booze and AK, especiall considering Millsap gives pretty good production in place of AK. No AK though means Dirk's shots shouldn't be bothered at all.

I wont be terribly upset if our beloved Mavs lose tomorrow, but lets atleast show some ball and body movement that we have been.

If Deron Williams is out and we lose though, then I'll be pretty upset.

Ghazi
02-04-2009, 11:35 PM

Mavs have a hard time winning in Utah. But the Jazz are injury-riddled. No excuses.

02-04-2009, 11:40 PM
Bring Stack back for one game. He always makes it a point to kick the shit out of the Jazz. And if Matt Harpring tries some more bush league bullcrap on Dirk, Stack will find that untalented hacker and beat his ass outside the locker room.

Ghazi
02-04-2009, 11:40 PM
I got an excuse; Kirilenkos their 4th best player and Boozers the 2nd best PF on the team, so it's not like they're THAT beat up :)

Portland proves they're a fluke team. Would have had two losses in a row if CP3 didn't go down. Nice to see a superior Mavs team put them in their place. Jailblazers are one and done.

Ghazi

Portland looks to be a Western Conference juggernaut in 2-3 years. None of their players are in their prime yet they're 30-19.

Potentially, but people said the same thing about the Suns a few years ago. You never know what can happen in the future. I think the jailblazers go down in flames this season.

great game easily the toughest team on the road trip followed by the thunder then the nawleans pauls.. dallas just closed the game and got a W, not a hard thing to do when you aren't up by 17 going into the 4th that's when it gets tuff.
